I need help with this scene it is a ballroom and kind of stuck. Seamus is a leprechaun and Aven is a fairy. Seamus is hiding from the Magical Protection Force and has escaped so far from them without being seen. His evil twin brother Patrick is at the ball Seamus notice him and wants to thump him. Anyway here is the begining of the chapter. It is a childrens story mainly but I would like your view on it How would it be to you if it where an adult story? Also Aven and Seamus spent the night together before the ball. Aven tells him to meet in the summer house where they overhear a goblin like creature crying and talking. As they listen Seamus heard of what his brother Patrick had done. He had been framed. He had made the goblin steal an opal called Luck Less and planted it on him. Anyway here is the begining of the chapter. Oh and by the way when Seamus went back to Aven`s bedroom to get the Opal from the his jacket pocket he got caught red handed. Thanks for reading.

The Midsummer Ball was in full swing. Every leprechaun and every fairy across the kingdom was there. Midsummer Eve was a magical event and it only happens on July 24th every year. Their powers are regenerated by the sun rays at sunset. A huge banquet is held and afterwards they dance the night away until the early hours of the morn.

Seamus stepped into the crowd wearing the disguise that Aven had given him. The outfit was too tight and it started to make him itch.

Huge crystal chandeliers hung from the white pattern plastered ceiling with gold leafing. Everyone was dressed in Victorian outfits as it was this year themes. He recognized some people his parents who were chatting away to their neighbours the O` Ryan `s. Mr O` Ryan was a plump sort of a leprechaun while his wife who looked elegant and slim. Seamus wished he could be near them. Then he saw his brother looking smug Seamus clinched his fists. He was just about to go forward when a bugle was sounded.

“Will you all please make your way for the king and his daughter. Princess Aven.” the doorman shouted.
Everybody lined up on either side of the entrance. The doorman opened the door and in walked the king behind Aven. Everybody commented on how beautiful Aven looked. She smiled as she walked along behind her father. Seamus pushed his way through to the front to try and catch a glimpse of her. She was more stunning than ever. Her

yeah my mind has gone blank if I can through this I am fine. They kiss in the Summer house but then they heard the goblin.

I even had an outline for this chapter but I deleted it by mistake in the recycle bin. Can`t get it back.

Oh yes the end of the chapter is where he had been caught red handed with the Opal. The trail is the next scene which is already typed up.

FOXYLADY

Read some James Michener for ideas about how to construct scenes. Here's a summary of one I read last night:

A writer travels 3rd class (wooden bench in a cattle car) to a rural town. He's tired and hungry when he arrives. The smell of shit on the street assaults his nostrils as he walks to the hotel. At the hotel the clerk resists renting the man a room for 30 days, for no logical reason. When the writer gets the room the elevator is broke, so he carrys his luggage up the stairs to his room. The room is hot and has one small window that overlooks a garage. He opens the window to more hot air and a din of loud noise from cars and kids and mothers screaming at the kids. Exhaust fumes invade the man's room. He tries to shower and there is no hot water. He cant sleep because of the heat and fumes and racket, and goes to the restaurant for dinner. In the middle of ordering he changes his mind about the entre but the waiter refuses to alter the order.

The gold and crystal ballroom was brilliantly lit, and crowded with people. The entire of Fairy society chatted and danced, in costumes that came from a hundred years in the past. He recognized his parents, along with their neighbours the O` Ryan `s. Mr O` Ryan was a plump sort of a leprechaun while his wife who looked elegant and slim. Seamus wished he could be near them. Seamus's heart pounded when their eyes met and she winked.

And the male readers will roll their eyes and tap their foots impatiently during this side trip.
