Okay guys... I'm just wondering... how to describe sounds made by people while having sex... I'm not sure if "onomatopoeia" is quite the right word I'm looking for...
I mean, of course, I could say "...she moaned softly..." or "...gasped in astonshment..." or "...whimpered in sweet, playful protest...", "...yelped...", "...squealed...", etc. but I'd like to add more detail... I'd like to actually describe the sounds... so I'm wondering... is it appropriate to say, e.g.:
' "...aaaaaanhhh..." she moaned... '
' "...hmmmmmmmmh..." she whimpered '
' "...hhhhhhhhhh..." she gasped '
' and he kissed her "...mmmmmmchchhh..." '
etc.?
Or does is sound inaccurate/laughable/laughter-inducing to try and go so over-the-top?
I'd like your opinions, folks...
