I know they are sadists!

Have you ever had a bad dental appointment? GOD MY FACE AND EAR! Yes, I have had a bad one!

Perhaps there is a story in this? :D OUCH! lol - not funny!

I've had a few crappy dentist visits, but most of them were alright. A pain but not a pleasure for you, Charles?
Have a seat in my chair, beautiful. I'll give you something to cry about.

I never cry - I just hurt :D

Maybe it would hurt less if you actually did cry?

I keese your poor sore mouth and gently nibble your ear(lobe). :p

Kisses, Charley.

Then read Colly's story, Alternative Therapy

:rose:

My story is real - dammit! A cavity filled and nerve damage, I think - sex right now? Sure, Sarahh, if I got revenge in a marathon man way. :D LOL - kisses :kiss Sex would be good then ... it would not take the pain away, though.

EDIT TO ADD: Who is the most beautiful gal you have ever seen?

Did they give you decent pain meds?

If not, alternate ibuprofen with acetaminophine, 800 mgs -

Ice packs or heat packs, whichever feels the most comfortable.

Kisses, beautiful. There is nothing that aches quite so much as teeth pain.

I had a terrible experience with a dentist when I was younger. Because of a childhood case of the mumps, I had a problem that caused me to be very susceptible to cavities. I can't even tell you how many I had. The children's dentist my folks took me too didn't believe in using too much novacaine. To say I was in a shitload of pain would be a drastic understatement. It went on for months. Luckily, they seem to have gotten their head's out of their asses (at least judging by the ones I've seen over the last few years).

On a sad note, we just had a young girl (I believe she was 5 or 6) here who went into a coma, then died after going under anisthetic at a dentist's office. I haven't heard anything saying it was the dentist's fault, but what a terrible thing to happen (for all involved).

I can still taste the rubber 'bung' he put in my mouth to keep it open while he extracted a tooth - that was 46 years ago - need I go on?

oh god...
i know that too. ex was in navy and we had no dental so i went to the training clinic to wisdom tooth extraction. 8 guys in the room. no novacaine. cracked the tooth in the socket and then put his foot on the chair and pulled. i honestly wanted to say...no, just leave the tooth where it is, ill deal.

My current dentists are personal friends and great people.

He treats my wife: his wife treats me.

But years ago...

My dentist had a pedal operated drill. He had to keep pedalling to keep the drill bit moving. Whenever he got to the decayed area he would concentrate...

and the pedalling would slow and stop - jamming the drill in my teeth.

Um...my mother took me to a very frosty dentist for about three years when I was a very little girl. She wasn't gentle, she hated kids, and she hated her job. I had a shitload of traumatic experinces, and my mother never believed it until one day she stood in there with me and saw how this woman was. She yanked me out of the chair so fast and cussed the lady out I'm sure me and the doc both saw stars. For a while after that I had a good dentist (my brother's ex fiancee) and we got along great, however, it didn't ease my panicky nervous anxiety attacks one bit and it would take two assistants to keep me in the chair.

After she moved away I went to a bourgie dentist in the city and yeah the place LOOKED real friendly and warm, but it wasn't. Another bunch of people who hate their jobs.

Now, I don't go to the dentist. I refuse. I brush and floss twice a day and say fuck the dentists.
