Damn. I liked this dude a lot for some reason. Probably because he always came with the realness. Gonna miss him.

I really liked him in Saving Private Ryan. It was only one scene, but I thought he absolutely nailed it.

I don't recall the scene. . .

I can't find it on YouTube, but it's where Captain Miller is debriefing his CO on the company accomplishments, intel and casualty figures during their Omaha landing and Farina is just staring through Miller, not even looking at what the Captain is indicating on the map. He's sizing him up for the next mission he is about to give him -- finding PFC Ryan.

That sucks. He was a very cool guy. One of the few celebrities that I met who was totally unpretentious and a regular guy.

Dennis fucking Farina, man: "Midnight Run" 1988 when he was cool. "Go make yourself a fucking sandwich, man. Have a fuckin' Cream Soda, or something..."
RIP DF.

His bio says he was 6'2". He seemed much shorter on screen. What say you?

I'm 5'10 and he definitely was taller than me. It was only a 5 minute encounter about 15 years ago but he was at least 6' tall.

Hell of a nice guy though.
