Dems would rather risk being seen as celebrating death than talk about the economy

I don’t often mention the dispute over abortion.

There is something sickening over the Democratic National Convention turning into an abortion-fest, a celebration of the right to kill one’s own unborn child. It may be a right, but it’s a curious right on which to orchestrate a national convention.

The Democrats apparently think they have hit the jackpot with Todd Akin’s moment of stupidity, but I’m not so sure. How, exactly, are they going to take advantage of Akin’s blunder? By talking ceaselessly about abortion.

In order to capitalize politically on Akin, the Democrats are happy to expose the extreme extremism of their party and their leader, who of necessity would allow the killing of even fully viable fetuses late in a pregnancy in order to be consistent with their view of autonomy of decision:

That these rights result in the killing of more female fetuses than male is one of the cruel ironies of a party determined to fight a made-up war on women.

and to you useless losers that will scream

TURNERLEAF didnt write that and stole the above from someone else!

yes, we all know that

now please get in your car and drive............fast.............into a bridge abutment

K?

THX!:rose:

This reminds me of the time the democrats focused on marriage rights and a bunch of folk were like, "They're just trying to take focus away from other issues."

Alright, abortions don't matter to you. They matter to other people. You are not the only person in the country.

I know it's hard to tell the difference, but if you put your mind to it I'm sure you'll figure it out.

My mom always said that abortion should be legal until the age of 18 since children are considered "marital property" rather then given the full list of citizenship rights.

...this made me very uncomfortable growing up.

Actually, they would rather talk about anything than the economy or Obamaloney's accomplishments.

Good thing women can't vote

because this is a major issue to them and they compose half of the country

if they were able to vote, this demoting it to a secondary issue would be seen as some kind of dismissal of the value of women

thank christ women cant vote, this could have been a disaster for the Republican party otherwise

CNN Poll: 62% of Americans Want Abortion Made Illegal…

The Democratic party hardest hit.

Via LifeNews:

CNN has released the results of a new poll showing a majority of Americans want all or most abortions prohibited — a clear pro-life majority.

The survey asked: “Do you think abortion should be legal under any circumstances, legal under only certain circumstances, or illegal in all circumstances?” Some 62 percent want abortions illegal in all cases or legal only in certain instances while just 35% want abortions legal for any reason.

Breaking down the question further, CNN asked, “Do you think abortion should be legal in most circumstances or only a few circumstances?”

Here, 52 percent took a pro-life view saying abortion should be illegal in all (15%) or most circumstances (37%) while just 44 percent took a pro-abortion view saying abortions should be legal in all (35%) or most (9%) circumstances.

Looking more closely at when abortions should be legal, CNN asked about if they should be allowed when the woman’s life is endangered. Americans agreed with that on a 88-9 percentage point margin. In cases of rape and incest, Americans supported legal abortions on a 83-14 percentage point margin. And when the woman’s health is supposedly in danger from the pregnancy, Americans were alright with abortion on a 83-12 percentage point margin.

Which pygmy ?

What a choice the "greatest country in the world " has Mitt Romney or Barack Obama........Maybe you should open the field to non nationals if that is the best two candidates you can find . ...........Or and this is quite radical maybe it should be open to people with a fierce intellect and not just tele prompter reading ,charisma free dullards........x

An Abortion Survivor Wants to Know . . .

Susan B. Anthony List has a powerful new ad attacking President Obama’s perverse refusal, as an Illinois state senator, to afford rights to infants who survive abortions. One abortion survivor, Melissa Ohden, wants to know, “Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward, that would discard the weakest among us?”

Here’s the ad:

I, for one, would be interested in hearing the president’s response to that question, if it’s not still above his pay grade. I’m not holding my breath.

Politico has more on the story.
