Demonoid Phenomenon (OOC)

Scenerio: A small group of friends have been meeting regularly for tabletop gaming, mostly D&D. They recently decided to start up a zombie-based campign. This thread will start on the evening of their latest get together at their regular meeting place, one of the group's house in the suburbs.

However not all has been going well for the month previous. A strand of the common flu has managed to mutate, bringing slow and agnozing pain before the infected die. Those that managed to get over the strand believe to be out of the woods, so to speak. However the strand mutates, striking only a couple of days before the group decided to get together.

This time, those who die after this strand of the virus become reanimated. Most of their bodily functions shut down, setting up the slow process of decay while having the insatiable hunger for flesh. The first attacks begin that evening.


I'm looking for this thread to be a small group one, no more than four or five players. Two slots are already taken by myself and AliceinChains.

Name: Jake Robins
Age:25
Bio: Growing up, Jake had very few friends as he tended to be more of a loner throughout his teenager years. He did his best to keep his grades up in school, but he sacrificed his social life at the same time. Shortly after high school ended, he was invited to a post graduation party by one of the popular kids in high school. However, he was told that he needed to grab a six pack of beer from a convince store without paying for it.

He wasn't sure about the whole deal, but he was sweet talked into the deal by one of the popular girls with the promise of sex. However things didn't quite go as planned and he was picked up by the police. The judge took some leniency on Jake, giving him the choice of jail or military. Jake chose the military.

While serving four years of active duty, he became a computer technician. His record was expunged and he became a computer consultant right out of the military, shortly after turning 23.

He had always been a bit of a nerd growing up, collecting comics and dabbling in video games. He had always wanted to go to a gaming convention, but he never got the opportunity to till after he got out of the military. It was right after getting out of the military that he got the chance, attending a fall gaming convention. It was there he met his now girlfriend Lauren. He had also never really had an interest in table-top gaming till she got him into it.

Age: 19

Bio: Lauren would be an average nerd girl, if not for her best friend Jillian, and a lot of great luck. She grew up shy and responsible, school always came first for her. Jillian was always there to make sure that Lauren had fun though. Attending a gaming convention Lauren met Jake. At Jillian's prodding, Lauren accepted Jake's date proposal, and the two have been happily dating ever since.

Bio: Jillian is the ying to Lauren's yang. A laid back party girl to the core, Jillian is perfectly happy smoking a bowl and seeing where the day takes her. She helps Lauren come out of her shell and be more social, in exchange Lauren has seen to it that Jillian doesn't flunk out of school. They two of them are inseparable friends, and it's been that way since they met in the first grade.
