Democrats renew court packing calls, blast the Supreme Court's final two decisions of term.

"I am deeply disappointed in today’s decision by the United States Supreme Court that undercuts the Voting Rights Act," Biden said. "In a span of just eight years, the Court has now done severe damage to two of the most important provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 – a law that took years of struggle and strife to secure."

The majority of the Supreme Court knows infinitely more than Biden, and the democrats, about interpreting the law. It's what they do. It's their lifetime's work; so, what is the problem?

Democrats, what is it with you and your whining? Why the tears?

Explain, if you can.

Well, he's not wrong, is he?

The VRA was enacted during Jim Crow. Those days are long gone. Nobody’s vote is suppressed. Biden can be forgiven for not comprehending that. He frequently gets confused about where he is and what year it is.

The part that assumes and tries to make voting a right for every degenerate looking for a goon squad of a government to do their robberies for them, is entitled to.

It is a right for such, isn't it? There has never been any political-alignment test for voting, not even in the Jim Crow South.

No.

Ok.....cool random off topic comment bro!

And it's Pubs behind every single bill,

GOOD!!! Where can I send a check for MOAR??? :D

which is a clear sign of weakness -- they're not confident they can win without cheating.

Democracy isn't cheating just because you're losing. ;)

You want an open borders welfare state where any and all can go vote as many times as they want??? Do it. Stop talkin' bout it and start being about it.

No.

It's not off-topic. Limiting the vote to voters whose politics align with whoever does the checking is an Iran kind of thing, it has no precedent here. The VRA was about allowing Southern blacks to vote -- whatever their politics might be -- which was plain and simple justice. It would not discredit the VRA if they had all voted Communist.

It's the Pubs doing the cheating because they expect to lose without it.

They aren't cheating.

LOL....they are passing laws that make it difficult for the degenerates and undesirables from RUINING their communities.

"Degenerates and undesirables" have as much right to vote as anyone else.

The problem, Rightguide, is that they are trying to do just that- bring back Jim Crow, bring back those long gone days. That is exactly where the Supreme Court got it wrong- it is a partisan power grab, with the unstated but deliberate attempt to keep lower income and minority areas from voting, as those areas tend to vote Democrat. I don't know why you don't understand that- well, actually you DO understand that perfectly well, and of course you approve of it.

No, they don't.

Being an 18 year old human that exist is just too low of a standard to get a say so in how our communities are run. Red states are taking measures and will hopefully continue to fight to protect their communities.

You sound like you (and they) are trying to bring back the 19th-Century "stake in society" argument for limiting the vote to property owners. It is no more defensible now than it was then.

Kinda funny the democrats arguments. Obviously blacks, latinos, and american indians are too fucking stupid to know where to vote. Shows you what the democrat party thinks of their constituents.

Mostly I worry about those in poverty, of any ethnicity, who don't have time, money, or information at their fingertips as those of us in better situations.

It's not a out stupidity, it's about working to ensure that those people, who already have no time or energy, can be able to know when, where and how to vote...and give them more options so they don't lose their jobs in order to exercise their right to do so.

That's the exact argument I'm making.

Not just for property owners, but yes, people with a stake in society.

It is no more defensible now than it was then.

Blue shit hole cities and states are all the defense that argument needs.

Lots of options are available in the law as written.

Which doesn't change the fact that the democrat party went to court basically arguing that blacks, latinos, and Amer-indians are too fucking stupid to know where or how to vote.

And if they're as stupid as the democrats claim then perhaps it's best they don't vote.
