I think Bernie meant to say prescription drugs prices are off the charts, not off the wall.

Hillary didn't waste anytime hitting him with his record on guns.

I don't recall Hillary being this good a debater 8 years ago.

Sanders is at least getting better. Those first couple of debates, he was in quicksand anytime the topic got away from the struggle of the proletariat -- even leaving aside that he wasn't making any damn sense on guns. But he's been stronger in a 2-person matchup than I thought he would be.

I thought the Flint question was going to be a gimme for Clinton seeing as how she's going there, and the Mayor of Flint has essentially endorsed her, but Sander's nailed it.

I like it when Sander's talks about how much he and Hillary agree on, but it's probably not the best debate practice.

Neither one of them can measure up to Obama....except that one time in '12.

They both spent a lot of time focusing on the demographics in which they're lacking support.

I was impressed with them both. And in terms of showcasing the candidates, the CNN town hall format far surpassed the usual debate format, I thought, and the two did managed to contrast themselves with the other without getting into spitting contests.

I was not able to watch the town hall last night. I'll try and catch it tomorrow.

I thought they both did well too. There's not a clear winner to me. I may be a Bernie girl, but I think Hillary and many others are correct when they say he'd be hard pressed to achieve much of what he'd like to enact.

But at least he might...just maybe....have enough spine to follow through on some of his promises.

If we can change leadership in Congress, I think he could achieve much of it.

The the oligarchy has been steadily, and in earnest, redefining government and shaping our politics and culture since Eisenhower's Military-Industrial Complex warning. It is going to take a long time to unwind it.

That is why any sort of "Bernie can't deliver" or "I only focus on what is achievable" stuff is really poisonous, IMHO. This is not about one election or one person. This is the beginning of a long uphill battle where the legislation enacting the things we are talking about today may not happen until well after this election.

Sanders has definitely moved the Overton window, which makes his candidacy important even if he doesn't win. This is something the right understands, but that the left has mostly ignored in chasing after "Reagan Democrats" and white Southerners who aren't ever coming back.

There was a headline in our local paper yesterday: "Hillary says she's liberal enough." In my memory, there has never been an election year where there was an argument in the Democratic nomination race over whether the frontrunner was far enough to the left. It's always been "the Republicans run farther to the right, and the Democrats ... also run farther to the right." A generation has come up that isn't spooked by the 1960s and Reagan any more, and it's about damn time.

I think the Obama administration has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that it's going to be a struggle and that compromise is indeed a dirty word in the minds of the loudest on the right. Sander's pulling everyone to the left coupled with the overreach of the right may very well get us the Senate back, and I see us keeping the White House for a long while. We may have to wait for 2020 to take the Congress.

President Obama has faced historic opposition. Bill Clinton faced a lot of stonewalling as well. It doesn't mean they don't have a spine, it's not poison, it's reality.

Historic opposition? Sounds like an Al Gore weather report.

I think that both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have spine. Of those two (actually three, including Obama, who delivered what he could but not nearly what he promised he could), while not being in love with her, I'll probably continue to go with the one who points to having the experience of knowing what the limitations are of what can be promised and the one promising pie in the sky.

Does it really count as a debate when one of the Debate Moderators actually "Hugged" the two candidates afterward???

It was interesting to watch...

What is the difference between:

A democrat.

A democratic socialist.

A progressive

A socialist.

A liberal

Are these terms synonymous? The way Hillary and Bernie were talking, they seem to mean different things. Honest question...

Think of the island of the misfit toys. Nobody wants a Charlie in the Box

That's sort of a so what? He asked tough questions and the audience asked tougher questions.

Well, technically no, because it can't be in the form of a question if you didn't know that questions require question marks.
