Democrat Governor Takes Recreation Center Away from Poor Black Kids to Give Shelter to Illegal Aliens

In the short term I'm 100% in support of this. Its nobody's fault (Well it's Abbot and DeSantis's fault) we aren't going to let people fucking freeze and its too fucking cold in those areas for people to not have shelter.

Texas should send the money they get from the feds to the states they're sending migrants to.

Honestly how is that not human trafficking? I mean I can halfway understand Biden not wanting to antagonize these groups but we're rapidly approaching a point where we can't let "well if we do this the Right will do this back."

Yes. All of those being put on buses and shipped north have been processed in and given interim legal status to be in the States until their cases have been investigated and litigated. You didn't bother to check before posting your lie about their status, did you? You are a dupe of that conman Donald Trump. Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, are you?

Looks like we might have a good thread-bump candidate in the making here...sucks to be you, snailspace. 😀

oh I see, illegal aliens at the border say the magic word, asylum and are now legal!

To be fair, you're not alone. The majority of the right who's raising hell over the border don't have any understanding of current immigration law.

This doesn't give them "legal status" it only prevents their immediate deportation.

It gives them legal refugee status.

Crossing the border is not prosecuted for TPS. So yes, legal status

Perhaps Trump could let those 'poor black kids' amuse themselves in the play-forts of cardboard boxes in Mar y Stinko.

No it doesn't. You might think it does but the system doesn't work like that.

The ones who have court appearance dates to prove their asylum claims cannot be deported until those claims are adjudicated. If they prove their asylum claims, they are THEN granted "legal status" to remain. If they do not prove their claim, they are subject to immediate deportation.

Those who are here illegally and have no assigned court date have no stay against deportation. Nor, under the law, can they make a claim for, or apply for, naturalization or asylum. They have NO legal status at all.

So, while you think you know something, it's obvious you don't actually know anything at all. Which isn't surprising since this seems to be your normal state regarding how things work in the real world.

Protected status means they aren't deported. So in the idiotic right wing talking point term of "illegal".....that is not correct
..they are legally in the country...legal status.

Where does it say anything about whether they have a court date or not? How do you know they don't have one?

You've made assumptions without evidence.to back them up. You're a shitty lawyer.

Protected status isn't "legal status." You want to equate them as being the same but, under the law, they aren't.

Protected status means they have protection against deportation.

Those who are processed through CBP are given a court date. Those who aren't because they evaded CPB or are "got aways" don't have that paperwork.

Those without that paperwork aren't legally entitled to remain and cannot legally get employment.

You've made assumptions without evidence.to back them up. You're a shitty lawyer.

You keep making that assertion yet EVERY TIME you do it you get your ass handed to you. Most people smarter than fungi would figure it out and quit.
