About 2/3 of Coloradans have had 2 doses of the vaccine, and for such people (yes, I know Omicron seems to require a booster for optimal protection) the risk from Covid, while not zero, is low enough to the point where they can probably go about their lives. I've said all along that at some point, the vaccinated were going to become a constituency big enough to demand a return to normal life, particularly given the reluctance to impose any sort of carrot/stick approach to the unvaccinated such as a ban on air travel.

And if Lauren Boebert's voters are the ones croaking, it's a win-win.

Some more good news. Some of the largest hospital systems in the US, including HCA and Tenet, have dropped their vaccine mandates for staff. The moves come after a federal judge temporarily halted a Biden administration mandate that healthcare workers get the shots.
