A Democratic co-sponsor of a controversial Virginia bill that would repeal restrictions on third-trimester abortions is apologizing to her constituents for supporting the legislation, saying she didn’t read the bill or know how far it went.

“By now you have heard about the abortion bill, or seen the video,” Adams said in the email. “I vaguely remember signing on to this, and I did this in solidarity with my colleague and as a symbolic gesture for a woman’s right to choose.”

I am confident you will strive to point out Republican stupidity with the same zeal.

Why does the left hate babies?

Oh, come on, you know that's not true. I am so sick of this shit.

We hate baptized babies. We love unbaptized babies. We make flying potions from roux reductions of their fat and season our matzah with their blood.

So you're against late term abortion or are you not?

I'll take that to mean that you condone the murder of viable babies.

Yes, my talking about flying potions should be taken as a political statement that even when:
  • the fetus is viable
  • the fetus is not only viable but has absolutely no risk of any health issues related to premature births
  • that the mother is guaranteed to suffer no health risks if she brought the baby to term because the Goddess Hestia herself has blessed the birth

She should still be able to get an abortion up to the moment her water breaks.

...

What the fuck, dude? You've read my posts, I'm no libertarian.

You also have said the you believe fetal viability to be the ultimate downfall of Roe v wade. Well...here we are. :)

Yes, I do think viability will render Roe v. Wade moot, in that the battle ground will be over what "viability" truly means.

It must, in my opinion, include quality of life. Unless the state wants to provide life long support and housing to someone too mentally deficient to understand why their lives are nothing but pain and misery, we've got a century of medical advances ahead of us before Roe is moot.

Mercy killing. Who decides? Why limit it to the unborn?

Doesn't it depend on the circumstance?

No. The mother can keep the species going. Not that it's really a problem now. But, still. If it comes down to the terrible choice in a tragic situation, I vote the mother.
