Deleting a pending story

Hi all, new to this exciting site. I posted a story yesterday and checked today to see what the status of it was and didn't see it anywhere. Thinking I had screwed up, I resubmitted it and that's when I saw the original submission still pending. How do I delete the repeated one?

There are two ways...maybe.

1. PM Laurel and give her the title of the two stories and politely ask that the second one be removed.

2. Click the pending link on the second story. Then click modify. Then add - DELETE to the title. Also add in the notes field why you want it deleted. Then click the submit link. (I don't really know if this will work, but it seems logical that it will - you might want to PM Laurel)

Thanks, Zeb. I'll let you know if one or the other works.

Not sure why the original wouldn't have been in my recent activity, thus avoiding the need to question if it was submitted properly.
