Delete My Account Please

I imagine you would have better chance if you wrote it in the tech support forum.:cattail:

There's no way for the user to manually delete his own account, but the administractor should be able to. I just don't think that with how much work they have they read this forum a lot.:cattail:

That's not how this works. You'll have to manually edit your posts to read "....." or anything with at least five characters by yourself.

How do I/get someone else to delete my account?

You can't delete your account. Your best course of action:
1) Edit all of your posts to '.....' If you have a lot of posts, tough.
2) Delete/clear your cookies and cache/temporary Internet Files.
3) You can add http://www.literotica.com to the sites you don't want your computer or browser(s) to access.
4) Never come back here again.

In very rare circumstances, such as those in which your life is being threatened, accounts might be modified or deleted. If you feel this applies to you, contact a moderator for suggestions on how to best proceed.

Please delete my account.

2 ways to have your account deleted:

1. Send a Private Message to Laurel, requesting her to remove your account from this website.

2. There's another way through the submission list. That one takes a maximum of 7 days to process. If you're interested in that one, post here and let me know.

I won't try and be high and mighty on this one, but if you don't have any experience regarding a process, just admit that you don't know anything about it. Spreading wrong info like this is bad as it is.

The info I posted is directly from the FAQ in this forum. If that info is wrong then it needs to be updated. I don't normally suggest PMing Laurel because I assume she's got more to do with her time. Don't kid yourself about the high and mighty part.

Why not just change your password with some blind key strokes, delete any history on your computer and then claim to whoever that you have never heard of Lit?

Laurel herself tells everyone to send her a PM if they have any problems or issues. That's literally her job.

By the way, deleting your account probably won't get rid of your profile in the profile thread. The one you reference in your sig.

I suppose someone would actually have to know who Laurel is and see that she says this. Otherwise the forum members go by the information literally posted in the rules, guidelines and stickies/FAQs. In all the years I've been here the info I posted has been the process that has regularly been used.

Nezhul made a valid suggestion (contact an administrator) and offered advice which is what this forum is for. Even if it wasn't exactly right, it was a valid suggestion and required no condescending posts from you. The info I posted was the process I know and understand and also required no condescension from you. Again, if the info listed in the FAQs is wrong it should be updated.

Straight from the forum rules: 13. We will not remove your posts or your account. You have the ability to edit out any text and remove any attachments on your own. The administrators will not delete your posts just because you changed your mind about what you said. You can edit your own posts as you see fit. Please do not contact us about removing your posts.

If spreading wrong info is as bad as it is, the forum is doing a great job. ;)

I just hope it doesn't involve something like posting something so illegal or troubling (as a submission) that you get banned right away.
Because that's kinda a retarded thing to do to people who would have to read it (Laurel for example)

On a lighter note:
p.s. Damn, I can't stop staring at MeekMe's avatar

I mean no condescension, okay? Chill. =)

My point is, rules are always being updated. That rule FAQ isn't. Unless it's something major, that FAQ always remains the same. That rule #10 was made last year after some dude started writing stories on the forum. That rule was there before it was inducted into the FAQ, but it wasn't included until shit hit the fan.

Accounts and posts are deleted on request. That's a fact. There's ways to do it. That's also a fact. Now these being included in the FAQ....I don't know why they didn't do that, but it still doesn't change that the site moderator does take requests if she wishes.

Again, sorry for any condescending tone. I didn't mean to come off like that.

Well, that's one way of doing it but no, I wasn't going to suggest that.
