Delay in vote getting saved?

I've noticed (Firefox, Manjaro linux) that when I vote the site spins for a LONG time saying 'saving'. Usually I just hit the vote and then move on, now I open a new tab to make sure my vote gets counted.

Anyone else seeing this?

Rating Takes Nearly a Minute

I sent a beta feedback response but it's worth mentioning here too. Rating a story takes nearly a minute. I also tested not being logged in and the rating there is immediate. I think it's a back end database update vs. a cookie but that's just a guess.

Yes, that is what I am seeing.

Maybe it's the time of the day, server load being high for whatever reason. Just currently, 10:30 am CE(uro)T, sending a rating, logged in with Beta features on, Firefox on Android, is unsuccessful for nth time. An hour earlier it only took the nowadays standard period of a minute.

We had an issue with slow save times a few months ago and we hoped it was resolved, but it looks like it needs a little more work.

Hope to have an update out soon to speed up the save times.

If you were having trouble with slow vote saving in the past, please test it now and see if it's faster. Since the update was just released, it could take a few hours to reach all stories, but most should have it right away.
