I don't know what kind you are talking about it, it could be arthritis, osteoporosis, or even Paget’s disease. Your GP will be able to determine that for you. Usually, you should be getting your recommended dosage of calcium, excercise regularly, and take general good care of yourself. Here are a few comprehensive articles:

i was just recently just diagnosed with it by my family Dr. and am seeing a spine specialist next month...mine is my neck but it causes arm numbness and weakenss...i was told not to lift over 10 lbs...just curious as to why...if it caused more pain or could do more damage...thank youy for the reply and the sites

If your neck is affected, it can be the movement of bending and lifting from the shoulders that is not recommended. If you had a name for your condition we could be far more help to you. Do you know why this disease has turned up in your neck rather than elsewhere? Is there a family history of it? Have you been specifically told that it's degenerative?

i was told that's what it is after an MRI and x-ray....have no clue why it's in my neck...i guess i'll find out more from the specialist...but i appreciate your replies
