Some friends and I were discussing incest a few days ago, and one, "Paul," said he really didn't know if he had done it. When asked to explain, he said, "I came home and saw my sister passed out on the couch. She was wearing a wife-beater and her panties. She has really big tits, and I always wanted to see them, so I eased up the shirt and exposed a nipple. I started sucking it, then jerked off all over her tits and face. Nothing more."

There are six of us in the conversation. two said that since he derived sexual pleasure from the experience, then it was incest. Two others said that since it was just a nipple, and he was masturbating only, then it does not constitute incest. "Paul," of course, doesn't know, and I am on the fence with it as the first two groups both have valid arguments. Therefore, I leave it up to you, my fellow Literotica writers:

Do Paul's actions dictate incest, or not. Please, just a simple yes or no will suffice. I will take your votes to the group next Monday, so please give me a good number to carry.

Thanks.

Answer to your question: No.

incest
/ˈɪnsɛst/
noun

1. sexual intercourse between two persons commonly regarded as too closely related to marry

It constitutes sexual assault or molestation of a family member much like Josh Duggar did with his sisters. I never heard that described as incest.

It isn't enough to be a reasonable story for the Incest category on Literotica.

In my view it is enough to count as abusive incest in real life.

I think my view is actually about the opposite of Oggbashan's.

The conduct you described would not constitute incest as the law defines it in most criminal statutes (incest is illegal in most states in the US, and, I imagine, most countries in the world), although it probably would constitute a type of sexual assault or assault and battery.

But I could imagine a story in the I/T category here based on events like those described.

It depends on the age of the participants:

https://definitions.uslegal.com/i/incest/

or (B) any lewd fondling, as described in subsection (a)(1) of K.S.A. 21-3503 and amendments thereto, with a person who is 16 or more years of age but under 18 years of age and who is known to the offender to be related to the offender as any of the following biological, step or adoptive relatives: Child, grandchild of any degree, brother, sister, half-brother, half-sister, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece.

From Wiki:-
Incest is sexual activity between family members or close relatives.
This typically includes sexual activity between people in a consanguineous relationship (blood relations), and sometimes those related by affinity, stepfamily, those related by adoption or marriage, or members of the same clan or lineage.
The incest taboo is and has been one of the most widespread of all cultural taboos, both in present and in many past societies.

Some readers seem to think it is [a] acceptable, and , exciting.

Just saying; I find it rather hard to believe a person would (or could) sleep through what you describe? But, whatever

Real life incest can be very destructive and an abuse of power.

On Literotica the incest stories should be fantasy, not the abusive relationships they can be in real life. They're stories, fiction, imaginary encounters. While writers and readers might enjoy the idea of breaking a taboo, ideas are all they should be.

What you describe is the real life version of incest flat out abuse. What is portrayed here as incest is over 18 and 99% consensual. If you write non con incest here you'll get killed because people here want to see it as a fun kay Parker Taboo style fantasy, not ugly abuse.

If this really happened someone needs to be reported.

I'm a fan and writer of both genres, particularly non-consent, but this is just abuse.........and the completely non-sexy kind to me............but each to their own.

As for your question, if it's even half serious, I would say, yes it's incest, and like most real incest, it's abusive.

And to echo what has already been said here, if it actually happened to perpetrator should be held accountable.

Oppps, I think we pooched it on the simple part :caning:

But I could go over to Wiki and change that...description.

Perhaps I might use an analogy.

If a man's wife or serious girlfriend found out that he had done that with another woman (leaving sib status out entirely) what would her reaction be? Doubleplus ungood...

It's like a couple, each married to another person, getting together in a hotel room to masturbate while watching each other. They both have an orgasm, but neither touches the other. Is it adultery? Maybe, maybe not, but its the end of two marriages if word gets out.

You can define what he described as incest by a legal code or definition. Or not - it really doesn't matter. If it becomes public, there'll be hell to pay in buddy's life.

Regardless of legal status, it's morally deplorable, IMHO. Fantasies are one thing; it happening in real life is another.

What you say is true, but it's still not incest until intercourse occurs.

Just beating off and coming all over your passed out sister is call sexual molestation, not incest.

And even if the brother was to share what he did with anyone, even if the police were called, nothing would happen...no witnesses. His word against hers. He just swears it was her boyfriend who did it.

I'll bet you (or I) could write a well-received Incest-Taboo story about a guy repeatedly spewing jizm on his scantily-clad sleeping sister or other close kin. Never touches her with anything but a spray of semen. No intercourse in the text. Is it incest? Check the reader response.

Does she ever catch on? Is she gaming him? Leave those questions hanging...

I'll again promote my essay, What Is Incest? It's non-trivial.

To my mind, for something to be thought of as incestuous sexual activity (which might include more than just sexual intercourse) there needs to be a degree of aware participation by both parties.

So your buddy jerking off over his sleeping sister doesn’t really meet my idea of “incest” because there is no suggestion that his sister knew it was happening (and certainly didn’t consent).

It’s really more comparable to a voyeur-type scenario with some non-consensual molestation.

All that aside, if this happened in real life it’s bad behaviour with the potential for criminal charge if the lady a) found out about it and b) decided to press a charge against her brother for sexual assault.

But as the start of a fictional story here on Lit, well, I’ve heard worse...

As so many have said, nope, not incest. Definitely sexual assault, but not incest. The "friend" needs some time locked up with "Bubba". True incest usually is non consensual. Real incest is a wreck.

Thanks for the essay. Actually a nice primer for any potential Incest author.

That summarizes things nicely, and it takes the right not-too-serious approach to this subject.

I actually have a story(about a brother and sister - my first ever) in the works, but that's not the way this one is headed.

I have always understood that the original taboo against what we commonly think of as incest was that it caused problems for the breeding stock. Make a child with your brother or sister or mother or father and that child is/was likely to ‘inherit’ all sorts of ‘defects’. Better not to do it. Better not to take the risk.

But what if there is no ‘issue’? Does the OP’s friend ‘jerking off’ over his sleeping sister’s tits cause a next generation problem? I don’t think so. But does it give a third party an erotic thrill? Possibly.

The whole incest section of Lit is about offering readers a ‘thrill of the taboo’. ‘I can’t do it, so I want to do it.’ Did Paul’s action constitute incest? I don’t think so. Would it create a tingle with some Lit readers? I’m pretty sure that it would.

What’s the definition of incest? Outside of the legal definition (wherever you are), it’s pretty much what you want it to be.
