Defense tests on racism in Arbuary case.

Racist as in actual racist or racist as in partisan hacks like you don't like what was said "racist"??

I don't see where the defense offered any evidence that would raise a question as to whether they were guilty of murder. I would be astounded by any verdict other than 'guilty.'

As near as I could tell (and I did not follow this trial especially closely), the defense argument amounted to, "Oh, come on people. We might not be able to prove it, but you know he did something." What else could they mean by the derogatory references to his appearance?

And who knows, it might work. I assume these lawyers know the community. The notion that a little random police brutality and vigilantism is the price that black people as a group have to pay in order to keep the rest of us safe is something I've heard expressed plenty over the years.

.
I think the verdict will come down to the image of Travis McMichael out of his truck pointing his shotgun at Ahmaud Arbery while Greg McMichael is in the back of the pickup with his gun drawn. The comment by Roddie Bryan about having Ahmaud trapped like a rat and his claim that he heard racial slurs after Ahmaud was killed sure makes it look like a modern day lynching.

That ^ said, you never know.

The defense did everything they could to make what would seem like an indefensible act perfectly acceptable,

Looking at the Rottenhouse case, you could say that Rottenhouse definitely did something illegal, and yet he walked.

Could history repeat itself???

All depends on the jury. Do they sympathize more with Aubrey or with his killers?
