Here we have a homework assignment, Practice No. 156, from a student workbook being used at Deep Creek Elementary School in Chesapeake, Virginia. A look at the bottom tells us that this material comes from Teacher Creative Materials, Inc. Now ... just scroll down through the assignment. Remember, this is not about grammar or sentence structure. It's about geometry, patterns and shapes. Take a good look at the "Sentence-a-Day." This isn't just some mistake a random union teacher made in some backwater classroom. This is a page from a published manual sent to teachers across the country. Now, after you read this you pack those precious children of yours into the mini-van or the school bus and send them off to your local government school for a little "edjukation."

Wow. I'm going to go cutted myself a piece of cake and thank my parents for forcing me to go to private school.

IMO, and probably a lot of others', that "sentence" shouldn't even have been on a MATH worksheet.

Todd honey, typos are a way of life.

I guess this sheet was not read before the printing happened.

I culdn't....

found anythang wong wit et...

you have to remember the world isnt a perfect place and mistakes are going to be made, obiviously this is one that both the publisher and the teacher missed... alot of your posts have to with God, with that being said you should realize He is the only perfect one...us here on earth, well sometimes we just make mistakes

well as a former teacher it is definitely a good thing to incorporate more than one subject on a page, it is a way of practicing more than just a specific skill at a time...although the typo was not a good thing

Obviously this lacked proofreading.
To my way of thinking, this is an error in grammer, not typing.

Actually, Teacher Created Materials is a PRIVATE company that produces extremely expensive resource books for teachers.

Contrary to the inference here, teachers aren't perfect and DO make mistakes.

Oh, but that was your point all along, wasn't it.
