Dedicated trolls anyone?

I'm baffled how someone can make it their mission to follow another persons writing endeavours only to attack and insinuate without knowing a thing about them.

Waste of Time: Such Appalling Disrespect and Contempt for Readers.

The utter personal contempt and disrespect by this author for readers who have followed this story through fifteen chapters, shown by leaving it hanging unfinished for nearly three years, while adding insult by beginning/writing another piece is truly appalling. Obviously enjoys trapping readers interest and then abusing their trust.
To potential readers: do not waste your time with this author. To existing abused readers: cease the comments begging this author to finish her work -- she is laughing at you. Horseman6:8

So yeah, that happened after I replied to an earlier comment with this: @anon: Damn. Though I sense this comment was intended as an insult, I do see your point about droning. I will answer your rhetorical though, I want to be a better writer... one story at a time? So keep your comments coming! Or don't read pointless drivel. :)

I guess I made them mad. :D They sure went to a lot of effort to trawl through my stories and my comment sections to do so...

But seriously... come on, what kind of writer enjoys trapping reader interest. Abused readers...? Was it mental, physical or emotional abuse that I committed.

In a perfect world, I'd be able to look up who they are and pity them. I think it must take a certain level of cowardice and lack of empathy to attack someone like that.

How do you deal with trolls? I think I must've inspired their dedication with my reply. :D

I have several [unpleasant] players on Ignore.

I think they are talking about trolls in story comments, not the boards.

It would be cool if there was a feature where an author could ignore comments from certain users rather than the blanket you accept them or you don't.

Yes you can delete any comment, but you still have to read it first to do it.

I just shrug it off or laugh at them. They're a pathetic bunch, the type that do nothing but comment as a way to spew some hate because their lives are miserable so I pay them no mind.

Responding to their comments is the worst you can do because it makes them think they got to you. Best thing is to roll your eyes and move on. My way of handling it is to leave them there. I feel if you delete it they then come back with "What's the matter, can't handle it?" so leave it and they are left feeling as if they did not get to you and that's what will go up their ass.

That and many times other readers will trash them in their own comment:D

I'm sorry, its horrible when that happens. :(

First of all don't take it too personally, there are trolls that leave negative comments on nearly every story, there's one in particular who always starts his/her comment in the subject line and then carries on in the body of the comment. s/he never says anything constructive.

the other way to think of it, is if someone is taking the time to make a comment you're having an impact of some sort. which is a good thing right?

I have never deleted a negative comment, I would if i received one which was homophobic or racist or something but otherwise I just leave them.

You can set comments to not accept anonymous. But it reduces the feedback.

We already have enough trolls. We don't need anymore trolls. This thread will only cause trouble. I reported this thread to the moderator asking her to close it.

I don't understand how you've reached that conclusion

And despite all the complaints about anon the vast majority of anon feedback is positive. Except in lw of course.

So blocking anon feedback costs the author in my opinion.

First thing, this a free website where authors post their work voluntarily. Second thing, they're under no obligation whatsoever. Got it? I choose what to write, when to write and how to write. If you're paying for my services, I'd reconsider my priorities.

But that isn't the case, is it?

Yours is a perfect example of overreaction. What an author chooses to do with his project is entirely his own business. I find it very funny when some readers act as if they're paying to read the stories. Grow the fuck up and realize that you're getting what you've paid for.

You poked a hornet's nest, got stung the fuck out of your brains, and now you're looking for a solution. The best thing would've been to drop the series and quietly walk away, but....oh well.

Best thing would be to request the author to delete your comment from the comments board and keep your head low for sometime. Attacking an author and getting hounded by their fans is really common, and more painful when you've got stories of your own, so rest assured that you aren't the only one who is being hounded at this moment.

Good luck.

I owe you an apology. Until now I was certain youre the new AH MOD, and I posted mean comments about you. I was wrong. JBJ

There's a rule against posting personal information on the boards. I wonder if it counts if someone posts their own personal info?

Maybe we'll find out.

Talk about 100% censorship! (Something Laurel is against.)

Le_kitty has done nothing wrong by creating this thread.

Why are you even here?

You don't have any stories.

You've never posted a story to Literotica. Yet, here you are bashing my stories.

You're not even a woman, are you but another elderly, important man masquerading as a woman.

Except for Scouries, sometimes I wonder if I'm the only woman on the site.

I've said nothing about you un this thread. Why are you attacking me? That is against site rules.

That has nothing to do with this thread which was started this morning.

In any case, personal opinion is just that.

Waste of Time.

You've summed up everything about trolls right there. Never will you be able to reason with one.

Thank you. :)

Honest feedback is not "an attack".

Hey, is Susan Scouries?
