I was blessed with only one grandchild, a grandson. He's 13. I would have preferred a dozen, but the circumstances were such that never happened. This last summer I prepared the declaration below. My idea was to have two cardboard castles set up with a basket full of water balloons behind each. I was going to have my daughter deliver the declaration to my grandson, then without telling him about the setup bring him to my place. It's way too late in the year to do it now. If it snows I might try substituting snowballs for water balloons otherwise I'll have to wait for next summer. Hopefully he won't be too old to have fun with it.

FOG forever!

I think it is a great idea!!!

And before all ya'll great spellers out there point it out, I've been advised to do a spell check on it. I could cuss about lame spell checker programs and my inability to get such things right, but we deal with what we have and who we are.

Besides in my defense, there are 7 William Shakespeare signatures in existence, all verified to have come from the same hand, and all 7 are spelled differently. Intentional? Maybe. Or maybe the Bard was a rotten speller. To make myself feel better I tend to believe the second explanation (even if it isn't true). :D

Screw anyone sideways who complains about your spelling or grammar. Be a proud grandpa.

I'm an American who lives in Australia for a simple reason. My wife and I met back in the early days of the internet (she here, me in the US). I had no children, she had two grown sons. She agreed to move to the US on one condition. "Once the grandchildren start appearing, we move back."

They did, so we have.
