I'm sure the "millions of Americans" who allegedly hated Roosevelt weren't cheering in the streets due to his death. One would think the death of a President while still serving would be upsetting to a majority of the nation, whether you cared for that President or not. Of course, with THIS President so many bigots and racists WOULD cheer in the street. But I digress - I think you are taking his post a bit too literally.

I think this cannot be so.

To take things literally at all times removes the essential literary scope for various literary devices. Furthermore, as writing is a creative art form much encompassed in it might be literary but far from literal. Confining the topic to this forum, for ease, just because someone rights a story about sex with a fairy tale creature , I do not assume they are writing from personal experience. To take this literally would be ....slightly mad.

It is hard to see sometimes. Sometimes it's not. Just depends on who it is and how they die. We all want to go peacefully and quickly but sadly many of us go screaming and in pain and tears.
