Not sure if anyone other than the Canadians on her would know who Jeff Healy is, but what a loss to music and to those youngsters who will have to rely on hearing 'Angel Eyes' on classic stations from now on.

Thank you Jeff for those romantic nights in my late teens!
RIP- you will never be forgotten.

Hadn't heard that. Wasn't he featured in the "Road House" movie with Patrick Swazy, oh what's his name... the cowboy with the gray hair I think it so hot... is it Sam Elliot? What a shame. What happened?

As a guitarist, I mourn this loss. He was truly a great musician, and we've lost a great artist.

He had his own technique. Tight band, solid performance, damn good live.

Requiescat.

I saw. :(

Sometimes I feel like my vampires. It seems everything dies on me but I stay.

I love the song "Angel Eyes" and was a fan of Jeff's work. I loved that he played with the guitar on his knees, so unorthodox but such great technique.

Heaven just got another great member for the band.

Jeff Healey was one of the greatest. Two sad days in a row. Gary Gygax yesterday :(

Luved his music and his style and his utter grit and determination. He battled cancer his whole life. The same cancer that took his sight. I luv that musical genre. I put him up there with Stevie Ray Vaughn & Corey Stevens.

Listening to his second album (I think), Hell to Pay, right now, really ought to get hold of See The Light. Have to say I don't know Angel Eyes, my first exposure to him was Confidence Man, & I was impressed from the word go, didn't even realise he was blind until I actually bought the single.

But yeah, Gary, Jeff, & yesterday we heard that a friend of ours from the US killed himself at the weekend. Not a good few days :(

Yes it was cancer, he lost his sight to cancer as a baby and battled it throughout his life. He picked up a guitar at 3 and taught himself how to play- amazing man, father and husband!
