Death by sadist hookers, the new euthanasia?

I think it is cruel what that man did. He could have easily killed himself alone, using innocents, is just awful.

What if it really was a game, a mistake? And they walked away.

Kinda all there is to say about that, isn't it?

I'm going to a funeral on Monday, a wonderful young man who was struggling to get himself off of the heroin he'd thought he could handle. The medications the clinic had him on were causing panic attacks. When he told them, they said; "Okay, we'll talk about this on Monday, you go on home for the weekend."

He could have smoked pot to ease the panic, it's legal here. But because his mother believes that marijuana is evil, because the clinic told him NO drinking, NO smoking-- he opted to shoot up-- just a little, just a chip. Because, you know-- she wouldn't smell that.

EVERYONE knows, right? EVERYONE, the most naive teenager, has heard about junkies overdosing after being off the stuff for a while. It's the primary reason for overdose deaths.

His mother is heartbroken, his friends are heartbroken, he did NOT intend to die, he was fighting. This was a good family. When I go to his mother's house, there are three, five, a dozen young adults there, mourning with the mother of their beloved friend.

Marijuana can be a valuable instrument in reducing addictions, but it isn't under patent protection, no big corporation makes bucks off of it. The pharmacopoeia that the clinic had him on included some horrifyingly addictive drugs. Guess why?

Wow. *hugs*

That's absolutely disgusting. For him to bring those two poor girls in, unsuspectingly, and use them like this. This very disturbed and very sick man's incredibly narcissistic actions could potentially wreck havoc on these girls for the rest of their lives.

It's bad enough that he's abandoning his family to the mess he's leaving in his wake, but to spread the sadness and guilt around to two other innocents makes me sick.

It takes a BDSM-aware person to know about consent.

made wierd sense to me.

Not everyone who attempts to practice BDSM is remotely educated on the subject. Consent is typically one of the first things we learn (or at least one of the first things I learned). It's kindof a no brainer, seemed like "common sense" to me at the time, yet it was still nice to have it laid out so neatly, and after all, there is no such thing as common sense.

Ok... so applying that to reprehensible actions of the man in the article...

Got me. I don't pretend to read stella's mind, only my own first impressions of his apparently random posting.

Clearly he should have told the girls every part of his scheme (rather than lying about it) and let them choose whether or not to be part of it, but then, that's just common sense.

Yeah, I disagree. This wasn't really about BDSM, was it? This was about a guy who used two innocent girls to get his final kick when he committed suicide in front of them. This is yet another way BDSM gets a bad reputation, because if there's any hint of 'not normal average everyday vanilla' sexuality, people focus too much on that rather than the fact that a guy used two innocent girls to get his final kick when he committed suicide.

This wasn't about consent. He made sure of that.

That's pretty much my thought, but then I got side tracked by stella.

But otherwise, what an asshole.

Seriously, right?!

Yep. I just feel so bad for those girls. I feel for his family, too. He couldn't have been that hot of a man in the first place to not only go out like that, but to humiliate his wife on the way out like that.

Most people don't understand at all, mostly because I think they haven't experienced it first hand, how badly a suicide messes up a family in MANY ways. Most suicidal people don't take into account how much they're leaving behind in the terms of stuff their families will have to take care of and deal with on top of them having to be buried/cremated, whatever.

My family has a rather...rich...history of suicidal people. There are so much more things to worry about other than finding a body of a loved one in your home or wherever. It's really tragic.

the guy was a shit head. not just for involving sex workers like that, but also for bringing additional grief to his family by creating that scenario.

Yeah, not to mention creating a scenario bizarre enough to make it into a national tabloid. Just wrong and cowardly on so many levels.

My aunts father commit suicide when she was a teenager and it fucked up her life for the rest of her life (she's in her 60's and it's still causing problems). Among other things she felt she was bad because she hadn't been able to save him, and so she got in a relationship with the biggest asshole in the world (my uncle) and stayed in it for 25 years, put up with his abuse, and had five kids with him. She constantly struggles with depression, and it all boils down to she doesn't feel loveable because her father didn't love her enough to stay alive.

I mean, I understand that depression fucks with the brain. I do - I've been there. But too often people convince themselves that their family is better off without them. I think those people should talk to family members who've had family members commit suicide. It does not EVER make things better. Ever.

When my sisters boyfriend commit suicide, I called his family. I felt it was bad enough my sister had to come home to his brains splattered on her bedroom wall - she didn't need to also handle their grief. I hope I NEVER have to do that again. Ever. If that asshole had a grave, I'd pee on it.

But on top of it this asshole had to use hookers to do it, and he made sure that everyone would hear not only did he commit suicide he'd been using hookers. So his wife finds out, in one big swoop, that her husband was cheating on her, with hookers, and that he commit suicide. What a fucking ASSHOLE.

you keep calling them "innocent".

If I remember the article correctly, this went down in a country where prostitution is legal. So they weren't necesarily criminals simply by virtue of being sex workers, and moral judgements on the practice aside, the two girls accepted money to play along with every part of his twisted games up until the part where he died. They called him names, told him he was worthless, that he deserved to die, and "kissed his tears."

I'm not saying they deserved to be non-consensually involved in his suicide plot, but it seems a bit of a strech to call them innocent.

There are many forms of innocence. Just because they're sex workers doesn't mean that they weren't innocent of murder. In that way they are innocent.

I was just waiting for someone to make some insinuation just because they're sex workers. Didn't take long.

Innocent of murder.

For crissake.

We all knew it was going to happen. They're sex workers, and therefore deserve to be treated like that. Duh.

Sarcasm, by the way. Just so as to not be misquoted.

How would we react to this story differently if the details were the same, but genders were reversed? Would we still be calling the Pro-doms innocent? I sincerely doubt it.

Um, yes. We would. I can't speak of YOU, but WE would.

Don't include me in a world where men are held responsible for things that women aren't. I don't live there.

I almost said exactly the same thing, LOL. Yay for subhuman sex workers.
