It had been a long day at work as I had to take over more people's shifts the last few days talks of a flu bug were spreading but I never let it bother me as I got into my car checking my phone message I had a voicemail from my younger sister telling me our parents were sick with the flu and it would be great if I could stop over tomorrow on my day off to visit them.
As I hung up driving past the local hospital noticing there were more people outside of the emergency drive up than normal at that moment I decided to drive straight to my parents place a few towns over by the time I got there it was late evening as I began to notice strange stuff happening people were outside there houses frozen in place I didn't think anything of it as I neared the house.
I pulled into the driveway I heard a loud scream coming from the house as I began to run to the front door twisting the doorknob I heard more screaming happening all around I slowly began to turn around and noticed the some of the neighbors running from other neighbors as some people were screaming In got the door opened as I made my way in I smacked hard against something on the floor as I looked up I saw a young girl covered in blood holding a knife laying on the floor next to my sister's dead body. I rushed toward my little sister seeing if there was some way I could help her all the while hearing the girl beside her crying not noticing me at all as I moved my head to the kitchen I caught a glimpse of my parents bodies on the kitchen floor as I looked to the girl raising my voice as I said "What the fuck happened what did you do to them?!!!
