Dear South Carolina

I ain't never been to Naples.

One thing that has some bearing on where I'm looking is the job. The company has work in some of these larger places, and they specialize in the Southeast, so moving that way makes sense.

They'll also commute me, which is nice.

31-0

I don't know exactly what you're looking for in a city. You know how people retire and move down to Florida? Naples is where those peoples' parents live.

One with enough concrete on its surface to carry its traffic.

Among other things . . . close to the kids, convenient for work, (relatively) affordable/available housing and a decent market for it. Low snowfall begins to look like a winner, too.

And maybe wimminz with pinkish/purple hair . . . .

Fuck it, something will become apparent closer to when time is ripe.

We've hosted Ohio State in the valley previously and their fans came in droves in far greater numbers than those that actually went to the stadium. Local businesses were counting on that and had all kinds of go Buckeyes and Welcome Ohio State banners you saw a red everywhere I didn't see a single orange sign anywhere. Kinda funny.

It's been a while since I've been on it, but I didn't think there were any "metro areas" between Richmond and Savannah on I-95.

Of course, North Carolina has grown a lot since I lived there as a pup. We used to drive to Fort Bragg from Winston-Salem, and it was a very Deliverance-y trip, particularly for a family sporting Yankee license plates in the early '70s.
