Even if you leave out the autocontradictory "each other", it's mathematically false. There are many more readers than writers. Writing doesn't select for intelligence, and even if it did, the odds are much higher that the Marilyn Vos Savants are in the huge reader pool, not the tiny writer pool.

I'm tempted to say that it's the other way around: intelligence selects for writing.
