You can fool all the people some of the time,
and some of the people all the time,
but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

BND

PS - Hope the Generals you surround yourself with forgave you for your "bone spurs".

Senator Duckworth, herself a decorated veteran who lost her legs as a helicopter pilot, called him Cadet Bone Spurs in a tweet today. I about pissed myself laughing.

i'm sorry i've been a cunt, bnd. sometimes your threads inspire it.

I think there are a lot of people who haven't been fooled by Trump any of the time.

I would talk shit, but in his position I would have probably done the same thing. I believe in self preservation above all else.

They guy who graduated with the top rank in his military school? Isn't this not only old, but ancient news?

The question now is, what job can we get Trump to accept as a promotion from POTUS?

He can run the NATO consulate in Sevastopol, Crimea, complete with Putin-granted political asylum so he (and family) need never return to US territory.

Yea, there were three types back then: those who did their duty and went and those, like Mohamed Ali who stood up for a principle even though it cost them dearly and finally those who hid or lied or bought their way out or claimed what ever they needed to weasel out of it. The first group should be honored for their service, the second respected for their willingness to stand up for what they felt was right, the third, pissed on for being the cowards they are. The Donald is part of the last group, those who would feed their own children to the wolves to save themselves. Not that I have a strong opinion on the matter or anything.

I say if you aren't a veteran you can't whine about a president who didn't serve in the military.
But that's just me.

You sure as hell can if your "president" is so stupid as to say he knows more about warfare than all of the generals do. And you can if your "president" says that someone who fought, was shot down and captured, and held as a POW for years--especially when he could have gotten a release if he'd been willing to be used for propaganda purposes--isn't a war hero because he was captured.

I've got plenty of respect for people willing to serve, but I just don't want to do it myself. About the only thing that would make me join would be if my own country was invaded, but even then there's no way I would make it in the military. I would end up losing my temper and punching someone important in the face.

Only veterans can talk about Trump's hypocrisy?
Are non-veterans allowed to comment on Trump making a patsy of a veteran, or is that prohibited too?
