dead stories and more threads

I have done little posting so far, but I have done alot of reading, and I have 2 suggestions.

First, regarding "dead" stories. A 2 line story that nothing has no activity in months is a real buzz kill. Is there any way you could "archive" them and keep them off the main menus? Or offer a "most active" search? Many of these stories are the only story that a particular author wrote (probably the only time they ever posted, or will post anything).

Second,
The default thread count is set to 2. Can the default be bumped up to 3? I have done ALOT of reading, and few authors ever have more than the default 2 threads. I think some of them just don't notice it. It would offer alot more "Artistic freedom".

Other than these (which are, in the grand scheme of things, small issues) Chyoo is my second most visited site. Google beat you. But don't feel bad.... Google lead me to you!

I don't bother reading dead stories, especially ones with low page counts.

Maybe a more advanced search is in order,
By category,
By page count,
By rating within a category.
By page count and keyword...

Much of that can be done with Perl scripts, and shouldn't be dificult.

What does anyoen else think?

I say it's a good idea. I wonder if the webmaster will implement it though. I haven't seen much changes on this site since it started up.

There hasn's been anychanges since July 29.
And i have 2 stories waiting to be approved.
