LONDON -- Dead bodies will be burned to heat a swimming pool in the U.K. -- and the British government is considering adopting the idea across the country.

Senior lawmaker Sir George Young, the leader of the House of Commons, told The Telegraph newspaper that he would "die a happier man" if he could arrange for his cremation to provide heat for swimmers.

Redditch Borough Council is set to become the first local government body in England to use heat from a crematorium to warm a pool this spring, the newspaper reported.

My first reaction was to shake my head. But, really, if they're just channeling the heat under the pool, it's not as bad as it sounds at first. But I'd think you'd have to have the pool and the crematorium fairly close together. I don't think I've ever seen any right next to each other, and if they are too far apart, I'd think it would cost more to lay the pipe and force the heat than it would be worth. Interesting idea, but I bet more than a few people would be squeamish about it.

Gosh yes, and then they'll be aborting fetuses against the mom's will just so they can burn them to heat swimming pools! In fact, they'll create fetus factories so they can impregnate women, so they can abort more and more and more, and then everybody will have a warm pool to swim in!
