I often ponder how often ads l like this work here. Just from my own casual observation, having an ad like this be "successful" in that you actually meet someone is somewhat rare.
A while back, there was a posting by someone in the Northern Virginia area who had a casual encounter on this board a decade ago. He was longing re-create that experience with the same person -- although they hadn't communicated with person in almost a decade. I think that speaks to the fact about how rare an encounter is from this forum.
Since this was originally posted earlier in the week, and didn't get any replies in the public thread -- I wonder if he got any replies, and beyond that, any replies that resulted in an in person meeting ...
