For anyone who has visited PMTick's New Thread Ideas Forum recently, you will know that I have been trying to work out how to start a decent Dragon Ball/z/gt thread. For those who haven't, check it out. It's a thred with the purpose of bouncing around ideas for new RP theads.

So why do I need my own one? Because otherwise I will be hogging the entire thread with just one idea.

The purpose of this thread is to collaborate on my DB/Z/GT idea.

to get up to date, check out PMTick's thread, and post here with any ideas, criticsisms and feelings regarding my idea. I would seriously appreciate some ideas and feedback.

PS- To get any feedback or draw attention to new ideas, post thm on PMTick's thread.

BTW, Trey, have you checked out my idea? What do you think? The more I read it and think about it the worse I start to think it is, but... well, it would be good to get another person's opinion. Oh, and, brutal honesty is the best opinion, naturally. Anyone else who has read it, feel free to comment too.

Asside from my rant on the New Thread Ideas Forum i cant think of anything, though i will ask are you intending a story based thread or a fight based (sorta like the WWF RP you can find on EZboard or Yahoo clubs) for the former i would suggest PL limits, for the later it wouldn't matter as much. Just my 10 cents worth.BTW, either way im claiming the right to create my own character, ive got the character history worked out (it was orig. going to be a fanfic, but i didn't like the way the fic ended up...so im using the idea here instead
the basic idea is that Frieza had hidden away som saijans for a rainy day (sort of a saijan slave colony) and now that the whole Cold family (King Cold, Frieza, Coola) is dead, they are trying to find others of their kind, and have heard about Goku's and Vegita's exploits, and have sent Artchok(the character) to seek them out and learn from them...
well tell me what you think

I've been told that in the Jap version of the show, i don't understand the language enough yet to verify this, he already did so when he went SSJ vs Android 19, where he says "I am the Prince of all Saijans once again!" suposedly the line in the Japanese is "I am the Prince, neh the KING of all Saijans once again"
then again as i said i cant confirm it, though that is what on fandub ive seen uses also (perhaps where the idea came from) though dubs are known for their VERY bad translations (just watch Iron Chef fan dubs sometime *rolls eyes* they get pretty bad) which is of course why i prefer subd anime

Alright, well it looks like Trey has given up on this idea; but I haven't.
I've been thinking about it a bit, and I think I've come up with a good idea. It will make all characters relatively equal in power, but it will require that you make your own characters... well, anyway, let me tell you my idea.

The setting is Earth, but all the Z Fighters have now passed away from natural causes - all but one - Piccolo (After all, nameks live longer than humans). After all the other's deaths, Piccolo decided to make one final fusion with Dende, and then he took the role of Guardian of the Earth. The universe was peaceful, and any villains who did appear were so weak that Piccolo could wipe them out with a blink of his eyes. But now Piccolo has grown old (Picture a skinnier version of Guru, and this is what Piccolo is like now) and he senses something on the horizon that will threaten the Earth. Due to the peaceful conditions, the powers of the Z Fighters of old have faded into non-existence, and the strongest power levels around are in the hundreds (Besides Piccolo's, of course). The names of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and all the others have faded from everyone's memory (Once again, beside's Piccolo's.). Now it is up to Piccolo to rediscover potential power in the Earthlings so that the world can be safe even after his passing.

As for saiyans - well, many generations have passed, and the strongest saiyan blood around is 1/32 (That's the equivelent of the half-saiyans' (Gohan, Trunks, etc.) great great grandchildren). As a result, their power is only a smidgeon higher than that of the humans. It is unknown whether they can still transform into the legendary Super Saiyan, which has once more become a myth, but they still contain some resemblance to their ancestors; while none of them have tails, many have black hair and the voracious apatite of the Saiyans.

So, let me know what you think, guys.

I personaly like the plot idea of Dark warrior. The only way too start a new story is to make the carecters balanced again. You took a direct aproach I actuly prefer it to my idea of haveing a Villain Wish that every one stronger then him can no longer fight.

Hey has anyone else wanted to see a Girl go super saiyan because that has buged me for years.

Since the other site is the actul game I thought I would do some extra chating about plot here instead of there.

So dw any objections to makeing your own move later on. There are alot of "finishing" moves (What a joke if the carecter uses one of these moves you know the villan is still alive.) But it dosen't feel right if someone uses final flash that isn't Vegeta. Why dosen't it look right because he created it and is the only one to use it. Besides new moves are a part of DBZ. Who wasn't suprised the first time piccolo used specail beam cannon to save the world.

Next comment is I don'tt think you shold let any of the new players go super saiyan on there own. In the seris it was always unexpected and saved the day.

So you more or less the GM should say "John Doe, had you all at his mercy. Laos new that if he didn't stop him here the world would end for shure. He became consumed with rage, he dug deep within himself and found a last shimering ray of light. His hair began to flash gold and he discovered a new found power."

This would be very dramatic perhapes a little to dramatic but it would make every one fair. It's drwback is it more or less requires one player to do it at a time. So inorder to even out that I recomend after the battle saying have no control over your new power and after barily defeating John Doe you aren't shure how you found shuch power and seem not to bve able to preform it again.

This would be true to the sereis aswell. Trunks and Goku were not able to use there abilty's right a way they had to train to sumon and use it.

I've actually put a fair amount of thought in about super saiyans, but I'm still a little unsure as to how I should use it in the thread. But put it this way: not even the full-blooded saiyans, namely Goku and Vegeta, could turn super saiyan until they were very strong (I might be wrong, but I think they did it when they reached about 100,000 PL or so?) plus they had to have a driving emotion behind uncovering the legendary transformation. And that was the full-bloods. I imagine that it will take some time for a 1/64th or a 1/32nd Saiyan to reach that sort of power. So if any characters try to go super saiyan without an immense power and a real need to do it, I won't let them, don't worry.
The other option is to entirely disallow super saiyans - after all, the saiyan blood in them is very inpure - but I don't think that's all that good. Hell, I reckon having something to aim for, like the super saiyan level, and the further levels after that, are great in a thread like that.
And as for finishing moves, if you want to make an awesome finishing move for your character, great. Be my guest. As long as it's not too awesome, like something with the power of the Spirit Bomb (Goku's Genki Dama, not Yamcha's pitiful excuse for a Spirit Bomb ) but is as easy to fire as Kamehameha. And I'd rather we stayed away from moves like Kaioken, unless they are desperately necessary. But, again, if you want to use moves already made famous by the show, that's fine as well. Moves like Kamehameha, Kikaho, Gallet Gun, Split Form are all fine.

As much as I don't like disalowing the super saiyan it may be required. But if you wish to have it in, it's justifiable. Pan thats Gohons daughter never becomes one but her grand son dose at the very end of GT. Thye ended it with her watching a fight between Her grandson and I would guess Bras grandson. Odly one named Goku jr. and Vegeta jr. They both reached the first level.

In anycase going to level 4 is impossible with out a tail. Goku had to regrow his with the help of the supreme Ki. Vegeta had a machine bulma made to give him his tail back.

Yeah, I never planned to let anyone get up as far as level 4. I don't think anyone will reach the 3rd level either. 2nd, maybe. If they get heaps strong and heaps pissed.
As for GT, I haven't seen that far in the series. I've only seen what has so far been on TV over here in Australia, and right now they're just up to Majin Vegeta vs. Goku.
I do know a little bit about what happens after that, but lots of my info is a bit shady and you can never trust stuff you read on the net.
But I'm pretty sure the verdict is that super saiyans will be allowed, but will be rare and never go past stage 2. Ultra is OK I guess, but it's so gay that I doubt anyone would want to use it.

So in the series your just as far as I am. Were vegeta just died and reruns all the suden. Most of what I know I got from the net. The problem is the site I'm going off of is acurate but very vague.

Now as for the Ultra I would take that. Heck it may slow you down but Broli was able to beat up Vegeta with it. I've seem a clip of him kmocking out vegeta. Broli is a movie villin. He became a super saiyan at birth so Vegeta's father ordered him to be killed but that didn't work.

Ultra would actuly be a useful way to kill a villin. For example I got knocked out during the fight. I wake up the oponet is bussy fighting you. I then go as hi as I can. Charge up a powerful attak and use it. You get out of the way or if you don't you have a new adventure geting the dragon balls.

Just out of courosity do you have a villin in mind already. I have no idea of who we could fight, well besides each other. Any how if you need help I would happy to give you some ideas.

Quick tought

Phenix if he ever starts to play says he uses a bo. Or a pole so why not give himthe power pole. Maybe not right away but it could be a nice thing later on.

As for the power pole idea, I don't really like it all that much. It's really just sponging off the ideas of the original Dragonball/z/gt ideas, and I'd like to do that as little as possible.
As for a villain, I haven't made anything yet. I've been giving it a bit of thought. But I think it will probably be something like Frieza, with shitloads of body guards and stuff, some weak, like those crap lizard things, and some quite powerful, like Zarbon and Dodoria. You know, the "Evil Overlord" kinda villain.
When I say something like Frieza, that above is all I mean. I don't mean that he looks, thinks, talks, acts or fights like Frieza. All I mean is he would have people under him, rather than just being a one man army (Like Cell).
Oh, and your ideas would be much appreciated.
