Daytime Commercials

The worst ones for me to watch are those feminine deodorant or feminine pads or tampon commercials. Can't stand being told I could feel "summer fresh" while tripping through fields of daisys!!
:rose:

I once did a commerical for "Vanish Toilet Bowl Cleaner". It was me in a bathroom with an invisible plumber. Or something. Anyway, it never aired, thank fucking God. I tell my agents now, "No foreign cigarette commercials, no infommercials, and no toiletry commercials where I have to discuss things like 'odor'." Ugh.

I have always remembered those dish cleaning commercials. The woman is in her beautiful dress and high heels with her hair exactly in place...not a strand is messed. She is holding her plate up in front of her face after she's washed it...admiring the shine, the sparkle, the fact that it's cleaner than it was when she took it out of the cupboard. lol

Do you look like that when you wash dishes by hand?

Most of the commercials on now are the ones for phone service... "We know you're too irresponsible to pay your bills, or you'd still have a phone... but don't do a silly thing like paying off that bill, just call us and we'll hook you up!"

or

"Yeah, your credit sucks, but instead of paying cash for that car you can actually afford, come see us and for NO MONEY DOWN and NO PAYMENTS FOR 90 DAYS you can drive away in an almost new car at 3000% interest!"

Makes me ill.

I work a graveyard shift and when I do get a chance to watch some daytime TV, the only commercials I see are for Lawyers looking to help save you from the insurance companies (yea right), trade schools to get a better paying job, getting your phone back after the phone company cut you off for not paying your bill and stores that will loan you money on your car title.

Um, yeah. Why? What else do people wear when they do their dishes? I like to feel pretty when I'm making my house pretty.

LOL! I guess I grew up on too much Donna Reed, too. When I do my dishes, I am completely soaked with water and there are usually soapy suds along my face where I had to push back my hair.

It's nice to meet you, Mischka.

Hmmm, I just got to thinking something...maybe if I did look like that, I'd be eating out more often and wouldn't have to do my dishes. lol
