Darwin City - IC (Closed)

Only once had the beast attacked him, and then it went back to the others, luckily for it though it didn’t manage to spill Revan’s food, that would have gotten its ass killed, and then he would buy something else with its hide. But he and his food were safe so he just stayed back to watch the show, raising an eyebrow in interest as the numbers grew, this was the best show he had seen in a while.

But all shows fail him at some point, all of them, this one was no different, one of the newcomers decided to attack everything, even the guy doing nothing but eating macaroni for some strange reason, but that wasn’t what ruined it, what ruined it was when he said the word ‘restrain’ sure, it didn’t put him down, nor did it shoot him off in to the sky, what it did was far worse, the shadows darkening around him, slowly creeping along the ground to make contact with his own, nobody spills Revan’s food and gets away with it..

Shadows of dark energy enveloped his hands as he took to the air with speed, the same shadows ripping a street sign from the ground and pulling it along behind him “I got an idea!” he said, drawing is attention just in time for the heavy metal sign to swing around and hit him square in the side, knocking him from the building “put a trampoline where he’s going to land, oh, and never make me spill my food again”

Jimmy had been shocked by the arrival of the eight foot tall Green Gaurdian, not that he knew who he was. He'd been just about to attack the behemoth when green energy went out and held everybody but himself. "I guess its only stopping people from fighting and since I'm just watching." He could easily have gone etherial even if it had, but that was proof that this guy wasn't friends with the other green guy, which was of course what Jimmy had been suspecting.

"So we'll need more to stop this thing. Now he's gonna be angry, and he should be falling back down in twenty-nine more seconds. Ideas?" The hulking green monster could speak, and coherently. That was actually a bit of a shock. He was expecting something monosylabic. Wierd night.

"I suggest we leave, the fight is over if you can get Professor Conners to the hospital and you seem to be able to flie something other green guy can't do. The rest of us walk away quickly." Jimmy said.

Phoenix

Something caught William's eye as he waited for a response from the girl who had shot off the pink orb. It zipped into view from seemingly nowhere, and when he managed to focus on it, he saw it was another hero.

This place is swarming with us.

The creature stepped away from William and the others to consider the new threat, then staggered to its left just before the speedster zipped away.

"I'm going to follow this path of destruction and get anyone hurt to the hospital. Keep this thing here for five minutes."

William gave a nod and flew closer to their opponent. That looked like it affected him. Maybe I can work more on that leg and...whoa! Before he had a chance to finish the thought or put it into action, a green glow erupted around him. It appeared around the Reptile Guy, as well as the women and a few other people who seemed to have come to help out.

The towering Green figure seemed vaugely familiar to William. Maybe it was an obscure news report, or something he'd seen in Weekly World News, but the words he was saying were lost amid the roars of the creature and the feedback being created as the green energy was struggling against the fiery glow surrounding him and his armor.

He seemed to be studying them for a moment, and then said a single word and everyone was scattered a short distance from one another. William found himself spun head over heel, but his wings stretched out and he flew in a small circle to a position not too different from where he'd been grabbed, but higher off the ground and angled towards the Green figure.

An everyday Joe sort of guy, who had an inner red glow to his skin, suggested they leave before the Reptile Guy returned to the ground. William shook his head.

"Even if it is going to survive the impact, I think it will be harmed. If we coordinate our attacks, that might be enough to subdue it." He peered off into the night sky, squinting as if it would tell him how much time they had remaining. "If not, then we can worry about escaping or--at the very least--keeping it from hurting anyone else tonight."

He smiled.

"Since we have a few seconds, the papers have dubbed me Phoenix. Who are you people, anyway?"

"Just because we can doesn't mean we have to." Jimmy replied walking away from the rest of the group just enough that he wouldn't be part of the confrontation and hopefully the green thing would come down, everybody else would leave and that could be the end of it. He could go back to his room and back to sleep. "I think you should get Doc Connors to the hospital, eith you or the green guy on our side, you guys can fly and go fast and other things that would be nice since we have an injured man in need of medical treatment.

Phoenix

"I think you should get Doc Connors to the hospital, eith you or the green guy on our side, you guys can fly and go fast and other things that would be nice since we have an injured man in need of medical treatment."

William looked up into the sky again. "That thing hurt Doc Connors? Isn't he, like, a pretty cool professor and stuff? Man, that bites." He pointed to the trail left by the speedster when he headed for the lab.

"I think the fast guy might have already taken care of that. If there's anyone else hurt, then I think you might have the right idea."

Phoenix turned to the Guardian. "What do you think? Should we stay and take this thing out, or go ahead and search its path for clues to whom might have set him on the Doc and why?"

Charlie rose unfazed.

'I can stop our problem without causing him much harm, as well as keeping the University intact.'

He looked up, and quickly positioned himself underneath the falling behemoth.

'Here he comes! Green Guy, can you slow him done for...'

He didn't finish the sententce, as big green fell on him.

To everyone else it seemed as if they had both suddenly vanished.

What had happened, in reality was the following.

At the exact instant that big green had began to touch him, he had begun to phase both him and the monster.

The speed of the beast as well as the phasing pushed them through the earth, phasing, causing no damage, and with nothing to stop them, them kept going, until they were 7 miles below, when Charlie began to stop phasing enough to slow them down.

As they travelled further down, Charlie regained more power as the monster slowly turned back into a human shape, which he recognised as the head of campus security. Thus as he was now lighter and easier to manouvere, Charlie began to float-phase back through the earth towards the surface, dragging the unconscious guard behind him.

OOC: He's still under ground atm, i'll bring him back up completely in my next post.

Jimmy watched as the Big Guy hit the earth. . .without a sound. There was no boom, no dust cloud no nothing. If he didn't have the same abilityto phase through solid objects and take other with him he'd be more bewildered. "The fight is over guys, we can go back. That guy took him underground so unless the green guy an breathe gravel I'm fairly sure we're done with him. Actually even if he can it won't matter because it'll take him a long time to dig his way back out. A little bit of over kill but jobs done." He said with certainty and started walking away. "I wouldn't suggest waiting around. Depending on how deep that guy went he could show up anyplace. He might have gone straight through to China."

"How can you be sure? We can't let something like that continue to threaten the citizenry."Jordan landed unsure of himself in this situation. This was a large group of powered individuals people like himself but who might not be good people. However while he thought he could take them all, he wasn't sure if he could handle all of them at once. And where was that thought coming from, shouldn't he be introducing himself, one of them had, and they seemed friendly.

"I'll take this Doctor Connors to the Hospital I can keep him perfectly safe and in one piece so I'll do it, in case of trauma or a neck injury, But I'm going to make sure that when I return this menace is dealt with." Raising a stretcher out of willpower he looked about. "So swears the Green Guardian, though if someone could point this injured man out that would be helpful."

"How can I be sure? That guy took the monster down into the earth, and he's going to leave him there. Even if he's not dead it'll take him years to dig his way out, and unless you can pass through solid objects I don't suggest you dig him up to make sure he's dead!" Jimmy shot back but then realized that his work wasn't quite done. "Come on he's in here." Jimmy said motioning towards the hole in the wall and guiding the Green Gaurdian back to to the unconcious professor.

Influence Lost! (Sorry I'm trying to think how to react.)

Guardian wasn't sure if he could pass through solid objects, he thought so, The ring could. He'd sent beams through walls before, to remain unseen.

"If he leaves him there I will have to dig him out, Unless there's some proof that he's a murderer there's no reason to go to the final resort. And if he does murder this monster he'll have to answer to me when he gets back. "

Guardian almost snorted in this mans face. "If I see you again I'll be watching you closely Pale. Murder isn't something you get off light with, and I could have dealt with this monster without killing him."

"Hey I didn't do it, not that I wouldn't if I felt I couldn't stop him any other way. He doesn't need to have killed anybody, trying is good enough for me and how exactly would you have stopped that beast? Juggling him until he tossed his cookies?" Jimmy shook his head. "There's the Doc, you can transport him faster and more safely than I can. I already handled the basic first aid, I think he'll live but there could be any amount of internal damage."

Charlie gasped, finally able to breath as his head phased out into the real night, with real air. He'd had to phase through 7 miles, while dragging someone else.

'Help me,' He groaned, still just a head and a hand, 'Big green is now small human, but he still weighs a ton.'

Jimmy left the Green Gaurdian to take care of the situation with Doc Connors mostly because he had no way to control that beast anyway. As powerful as Jimmy was convinced he was he didn't want to fight a behemoth capable of flinging him into space or some crazy shit. "Just deal with it." He said and walked out fully intending to go back to sleep and leave all these crazies behind. . .and maybe start researching on the Green Guardian. It would be nice to know ifthere was anything he was afraid of.

"'Big green is now small human, but he still weighs a ton." Charlie whined.

"Why didn't you leave him!" Jimmy shouted runing over. He would have just shoved them back under, held them down until they both drown but that wasn't how it worked. He didn't really understand how it worked now that he was giving it a moment's thought but he'd never noticed needing to hold his breath when he passed through walls even he stayed in them, could he phase through water and breathe? One of the disadvantages of having your powers given to you by a vengeful demon is that they don't comes with a users manual. You were always feeling out, well anything that didn't happen by reflex.

Jimmy sighed and reached down helping Charlie the rest of the way out of the earth. There was only one thing Jimmy wanted, to go back to sleep and be left alone but that. . that wasn't in his future it seems.

Charlie gasped as he finally got his breath back, and looked at the small human who had once being big green.

'Don't make me ever do that again.'

"I didn't make you do it this time. If it had been upto me you would have taken that bastard the core and left him. I'm terribly allergic to people who try to kill innocents. He's lucky I didn't the impression he wanted to kill me." Jimmy said as he knelt down beside the two. "But now that we are in this situation lets fix it.

If you wish to be exempted from a photo, Say something.

Jordan formed a makeshift bed and rushed over towards Darwin general. he was a little confused there wasn't a medical staff on campus or a hospital there but Not all Universities came with. And this one while heavy on science and medical apparently did not have it's own to practice with. Being careful to focus he had the ring take a snapshot of each person he could see. It wouldn't help him much but he was curious of these people some seemed almost familiar, though with how terrible he was with faces two could be related to him and he'd never know.

After a quick stint and mix up with forms Jordan made back for the campus but saw no-one around. maybe they left or maybe he was tired. he hadn't been getting much sleep lately. being careful to leave a green trail flashing towards the moon, he set himself down about two blocks away and walked out of the back room of a campus convenience store.

"Do you have any dozies?" He asked the disinterested clerk.

"Are you looking for pot?"

No. Sleeping pills. Y'know doze aid or something like that. Benadryl liquicaps?

"No man try a pharmacy. Ours is closed."

Yeah. thanks I noticed.

Another night without good sleep. maybe he'd avoid the dreams this time though. or maybe he'd get a few energy drinks and just pull another all-nighter in the lab. No. better to sleep. His project was in a delicate stage, and at this point so was he. Walking the few blocks back towards the dormitories he key carded in and never found the note he left for himself on his fridge, he just saw his bed and fell on it.

Charlie rose and began to walk of, not wanting to chat with the others.

He was tired.

He was also curious.

but more tired.

Glad that he was sure his identity was secret, thanks to the spell that changed his body, voice, fingerprints, retinal, everything.

Perhaps i should learn some more spells, he wonderted as he climbed into his bed after phasing through forty dorms, but the thought died on his mind as his head hit the pillow and he fell instantly asleep.

Jimmy glanced around finding himself sudennly nearly alone with the former combatant. That Green guy would come back probably to check on this other green guy so it wasn't an option to silence the opponent permantly. He was unconcious just a few inches would probably be enough.

"Well I hope i never see. . .well any of you ever again." Jimmy grumbled and started walking towards his room purposly brushing against the ladies as he passed. "I didn't mean either of you. I'm Jimmy Blaze and I hope to see both of you for breakfast so maybe we can sort this out, exchange cell phone numbers or something. I don't deal with these kinds of things often but it sure would be nice not to be out there alone when I have to.
