OOC: This thread is open for one female who PMs me with the character description and an introduction paragraph. I want a player who can write well and puts effort into each post. Okay, now the setting. My character will be a astronaut who is orbitting the moon, however when he goes into the dark side something happens and he crashes. The female part will be an alien who has landed on the planet for some purpose you can come up with, sees the ship and rescues the hurt astronaut. Now the alien has to be humanoid of course, and make her unique. The rest will be played according to each post. PM me with questions included in your character's description and introduction.
IC: Captain Jordan Parkson had been waiting and training for this day for a long time now. Ever since retiring from the Air Force to train to become an astronaut he has dedicated almost every waking hour to get into space. Not only had he been training to pilot the first solo flight around the moon, but he also helped build the shuttle. With his doctorate in aeronautical science Jordan was known throughout the world as having created some of the most unique and fastest planes ever.
For the last five years he had dedicated his life to working on the project that would get him to the moon, the shuttle named V643, or as he renamed it, the Silver Moon. The ship proved to be faster and much more cost efficient than anything ever constructed before and thus the first mission to the moon was quickly set up. Of course, Captain Parkson was the obvious first choice to lead the mission and thus he was ordered to pilot the single man shuttle around the moon.
Weeks have passed since the mission was setup and now was the day when the real test would take place. Would Parkson's ship get to the moon and back faster, safer, and much more cost efficient than anything constructed ever before? Parkson surely thought so, and after all the interviews and preps and such he found himself sitting in the cockpit in a new revolutionary space suit that provided much better movement and was much less bulky. The first man to fly his own ship to the moon Captain Parkson was only 26 and very handsome and thus got much publicity.
He was on the front page of many magazines and voted the most eligible bachelor twice, two years in a row. At 6'0" with a football background as he played while at the Air Force Academy, Jordan was a solid man, much stronger and physically fit than any astronaut ever before him. With his dark blue eyes and his dark brown hair accompanying these other features he was the envy of almost all women through the U.S. and throughout the world. Sitting in the chair within the ship the door slowly closed and Captain Parkson had no second thought of the mission and risks. He was ready, more ready than he could ever be.
Listening to the countdown Jordan looked throughout the cockpit to make all things were check before readying himself for the G forces that were about to be put on his body. As the rockets fired the small rocket was quickly sent into the air flying at record speeds into the high atmosphere as thousands below and millions more on TV watched the history in process. Finally, after only more than two minutes the shuttle cleared the Earth's atmosphere and the ship hit space flying at record speed again towards the moon.
Everything was check and the mission was going perfect, that was, until the ship began its process around the moon and the ship lost contact with Earth. Suddenly there was a loud pop and the instruments on the ship began beeping at a loud almost deafening level. Holding on Captain Parkson tried everything he could to hold the ship and maintain course, but he soon knew that he was going to crash. Readying himself for the hit Captain Parkson held on tightly as the ship descended quickly. Steering he brought the ship down relatively easily although with the lack of usable landing gear it was a bumpy landing. Slidding upon the surface of the moon the ship rocked violently before finally coming to a halt as it fell into a large crater and hit a wall.
Captain Jordan Parkson was thrown violently forwards, hitting his head upon the console and knocked unconscious.
