Dark Shadows
The Cule de Fae were a race of space wanders, for centuries they had roamed the fringes of the outer most limits of the known universe. They had never mastered the technologies of inter galactic flight. It was not that they were unfamiliar with the concepts of stasis, or suspended animation, but it was the deathly cold of them, a cold that had left their females barren or dead. Their very nature precluded them from the long intergalactic travel and had seemed to condemned the Cule de Fae to extinction. That was unless they could replace their females but few aspen species would willingly mate with another, an alien species from the outer most reaches of the known universe. These facts had presented the Cule de Fae with a dilemma. If nothing else these space wanders were fighters an ancient race of warriors that lived to concur to dominate and not like to let a little thing like threatened extinction to deter them.
The Cule de Fae were down to a small but determined male population when they discovered a way to travel intergalacticly without the necessity to endure the deadly stasis, or suspended animation. They had discovered a way to bend time and space so they could slip anywhere in the known and unknown universe like a shadow sensed more than seen. Yet they could also slip through time to a lesser degree. Their attempts to reclaim their lost females so disrupted the time space continuums that they halved their remaining male population in half. The next problem was to find a species that they could successfully breed with. None of the known species could guarantee a 100% successful breeding rate, but one species had yield a 40% success rate, humanity. The challenge was to take their females not only from their home planet Earth but also from a time before they developed intergalactic space travel. The early 21st century became their preferred hunting ground and their preferred query was very young and innocent females, ones unlikely to have any knowledge, or concepts of intergalactic travel.
Jakare had waited for the time when he could hunt for a female. He was not sure if he wanted to breed just yet after all he was a young man , only a hundred and ten cycles old. But there were other things one could do with a soft warm pink Human female other than to simply breed. They were renowned for their sexual powers and the way that their soft supple bodies could please the male Cule de Fae. Jakare adjusted his personal controller, began to bend time and space so that his hunt for his female could begin. There was a white hot flash of light as the time portal opened a great shimmering void opened before him. Jakare straightened his back and stepped into the void. There was a gut retching feeling that always over came time and space travelers and a moment or two of disorientation for the uninitiated. When he landed on Earth in the early 21st century, he was in a hunter’s crouch, his nostrils flared as he scented the air. Jakare smiled as he caught the scent of a young female, innocence had a particularly sweet and alluring fragrance like honey. Jakare smiled, his heart beat quickened, like all the Cule de Fare Jakare loved the hunt, the thrill of dominating his prey, the moment of capture the look in her eyes. Jakare’s smile broadened.
“Let the hunt begin!”
He whispered to himself as he took up the scent trail of the young innocent.
