The shadows were thick around her. They always were at night, she seemed to suck them in, make them one with herself. Her long black hair helped her bland in with the midnight shapes of the forest, her pale skin shone white in the moonlight. This was her domain, we at least it used to be. Hunters had come through her territory and she had to kill them. So she did, drank the sweet crimson life from their very bones. But now the town was up in arms about what to do with her. Numerous search parties had not returned, and Lilith had grown fat on her own greediness.

Sitting in the crook of an old tree she watched as the night settteled into the forest. There was a new hunter she was sure, and she was sure his blood would taste just as sweet.

The smell of old blood filled the air around me. A vampiric pack was near. Or maybe one good vampire. Another vampire to fall victim to my blades and cross bows. Another to fall victim, to me, Damien. A vampire hunt count of nearly a thousand since my days, I have been a hunter since the death of my family, and my thirst to stop their monstrous ways shall never end.

My journey has led me so far to the darkest of forests that I have seen. "The stench is heavy here." I muttered to myself. As I continued until the stench was strong.

Lilith watched cautiously as the man stepped closer. ~Hmm, he'll be fun to play with~ she thought to herself as she sat there. "I'm a bad little girl killing all those people arent I?" she asked him as she sat within the leaves, her voice seeming to come from all directions.

"Are you here to bring justice upon me?" she mused a laugh echoing through the wood.

I brought my cross bow up, and aimed at the resonating voice. But, it moved. Behind me? To the left? Dammit. Where could that beast have gone!?

"Are you here to bring justice upon me?"

"I do not believe in Justice. I believe in revenge." I said, out loud for all the woods to hear. "Come out and face Death a second time..." I whispered to the air, as I tried to find the vampiric assailant.

"I suppose you think yourself to be the one who will bring such death, you have much to learn Sir Hunter.." she commented, seemingly whispering in his ear. A small laugh sounded through the glade.

"How can you kill what you cannot see?" she whispered again.

I took aim behind me, and fired a shot. Damn... I missed. I drew a pair of daggers. "Do you believe you are the only one who said that to me? I took countless vampires the same way..." I threw a dagger towards a tree, and the blade grazed her arm.

Lilith said nothing as the blade grazed her. Slowly she dropped from the tree, with the grace of a cat. Her body was graceful and her clothing hugged every curve. "You want to kill me?" she purred softly looking at him with hope in her eyes, a look that could take most men's breath away.

I stared at the vampiric women. She most likely lured men to her with her beauty. Poor fools. I swung the dagger between my fingers. "I want to kill everyone of your kind. You as well." I said, pointing the small blade at her.

Lilith nodded and stepped forward, "I do not kill for pleasure, they entered my wood intent on killing me, if I am wrong for defending my etrritory then please," she knelt in front of him, "By all means take revenge." Her head hung barring her pale neck to him.

I raised the blade, ready to strike her. "Fight for teritory, eh?" I asked. "Then you will tell me... That unlike every single vampire that I have killed, each that I've sent back to hell... You shall you do not thirst like they?"

"I would be happy to live off of animal blood, I have a great respect for life unable to feel most of its beauty why would I strive to extinguish it?" she asked her head up now as she looked into his eyes.

"You expect me to believe that you're one in millions?" I asked, sarcastically, still ready to strike back to hell. "You still killed all the others. Why don't you kill me as easily all the others?"

"I felt your presence was different," she answered quickly, "But I will not beg for my life there is no use to words if you will be killing me either way, so do it and put us both out of our misery, and you can be a hero in the eyes of the villagers..." she said without any emotion whatso ever.

I couldn't bring myself to do it. I can't kill anything that's not defending itself. "Attack me..." I muttered.

"I refuse..." Lilith said quietly, "Make it easier for you, just slice my head off, I'm an animal remeber, you've done it hundreds of times before do it.."

"Rah!!!!" I yelled out in frustration for the whole forest to hear. I lowered my arm, and took several steps back. "You think it's so easy?" I said, sighing. "To strike down someone unarmed, unable to defend themself?"

"You wanted to send me back to hell about a minuet ago," Lilith chimed in as she settled herself against the tree as he walked away.

"Do not test me!!" I yelled out. I Sheathed the small blade into my belt. "Go. I won't kill you, but I won't let you stay here."

"Where am I supposed to go?" Lilith asked nonchalantly, " I've lived here for almost a century...I have no other place to go..."

"It's a shame this is how we had to meet." I said. "You as a vampire. I'm not supposed to show mercy for your kind. But I will for you. You seem peaceful." I walked towards her and faced her. "I will call off the attacks here. As long as you don't strike any humans."

"Does that include you?" she growled lunging at him, sending him to the ground, her wieght resting ontop of him. "Really you were touched with my whole bleeding hearts thing werent you?" she giggled as she pinned down his arms.

She pinned me down and I tried to shake her off. "Damn you!" I yelled out. "You fooled me, you vampire scum!" I couldn't reach any of my weapons, but I still tried to shake free.

Lilith smiled at him, "Scum? Babe, I am not scum, do you know how I killed all those men? They couldnt resist me, I got them to their weakest point," her head leaned down so she was breathing on his neck, stirring the hairs there. "Would you like me to make you a god?" she whispered kissing his neck gently, her grip never ceasing.

"I'd rather die then to be one of you!" I yelled out trying to pull myself away, but to no avail. "Do not touch me!"

Her tounge slid out to lick his neck, "You're too tasty to let go, but if you keep being mean I'll just kill you, or turn you and leave you for the sun to devour..." she giggled, "Theres a world you dont even know about.." she pleaded her lips close to his ear now.
