Centuries, Decaides, Ages what ever you wish to call it many years or moons have passed so many i dont even remember when or where it all started. So long ago.. i roam the streets and see so many changes nothing ever remains the same. Save one constant.. change itself, well and me.

I've had a few lovers off and on through out this constant walk, but have yet to find a true companion someone worthy of changing and walking with me to aleveate the lonely feel of it.
rather than just a fleeting moment in the vastness of it all.

sighs leaning back against a park bench looking up at the moonlight through the dark tree branches. There were grey and black thunder clouds blocking out part of the sky tho it didnt smell like it would rain for a good hour maybe two.

a breeze stired the branches causing the leaves to rustle as they swayed stars twinkled in the clearer sections not yet covered by the clouds. I breathed in the scent of the grass animals and other beings im my surroundings.

it would be time to hunt again soon..

Aria glade Pendragon stood 5ft 4 inches weighing 130 lbs with an athletic like figure dark blue saphire like eyes. Her hair at present was cut very short slightly longer on top then in the back framing her features nicely accenting her pointed ears making her look almost fay like, and blonde in coloring with blue hightlights at the tips.

However old she may be she wasnt foolish enough to not keep up with the times and fit into her surroundings as much as possable.

Aria was dressed in long black leggings and a silky spigetti strap top over which she wore a long silvery grey scoop necked blouse, and black boots. she carried a lightwit leather jacket over her arm not that she needed it but it helped keep up apperances.

the jewlery she wore was silver with black onyx gems accenting and setting it off completing the onsomble. Her skin was pale and she wore some make up but not much she didnt really need it.

sitting up she decided it was time to move, she was new to this area and town. It would be interesting to see what she could discover here.

The glimmering lights of the city reached up into the sky as if preparing to engage the massive blackness of the approaching storm, its finger like rays was observed from a high-pitched balcony of a cliff-side mansion. The tall dark silhouette was barely visible, due to the faint orange glow of the fireplace seated deep into the joining room, stood glaring out past the rays into the billowing dark storm clouds. Its’ mind not really caring about how beautiful the lights were against the wall of black clouds nor was it concerned about the approaching storm, but was fixated upon the dream or vision it had, it wasn’t forsure which it was, it just knew that it woke it and placed this deep desire within.

A deep breath took in the chill of the night and was held captive for a time longer than normal but then released back into the night slightly tainted with the silhouettes’ emotional tension. “So she is here.” It whispered into the wind, its arms crossing over and intertwining across the broad chest. The piercing opal orbs dropping from the dark clouds to the streets of the city below. “I wonder how long it will take her to begin her hunt.” The whisper intended for no one but it own ears. “It has been far too long since our last confrontation.” it’s words now speaking to one that was nowhere near to hear the words of greeting.

“Come, shall we play with our minions once more or do we take this to the next level? Your luck upon our last meeting will not suffice in your benefit this time.” Romstrahd’s voice tainted with strands of anger and resentment. His teeth clenched together and slowly grinding as the anger continued to build. “Do you still grieve from the last man that was walking by your side? Do you dare to hunt for another one to stand in front of you and be your shield?” A heavy silence follows immediately after…

“Come Mi’love; let’s get the game started…” Rom turns and walks off the balcony into the mansion grabbing his overcoat, umbrella, keys and instantly heads into the city in search of this one that disturbs his sleep…

Aria wondered the city she wouldnt begin her hunt this night nor perhaps the next. No these first evenings were spent as always in new territory getting the lay of the land, and locating places in the surrounding areas to go if the need arose.

A slight shudder ran up her spine as if chilled but she was no where near being cold. Of corse she wasnt the only one like herself, they were few and far between. Someone had made her after all.. she paused in her walking a vauge look coming over her features momentairly as she thought of him..

she frowned and started walking again. She hadnt thought of him for some time other than to make preperations for if they crossed paths once again. Last time had been so close. Sebastian had lost his life in saving her from him, that had been 100 or so years ago.. she hadnt yet bothered with another.

She knew she would most likely save herself alot of trouble and another from eventually losing his or her life in this battle of wills, but she had run instead. Unlike any of the others who had been changed she had more of a mind of her own and would not simply come to heel.

A couple walked by laughing hand in hand out of a theater as she passed, nether noticing her. Others moved around her as well. "look at the sky. we better get home. moms gonna be worried" a teen said coming out of the same theater " i dont think well make it in time lets just call and wait it out"

Aria continued on she stepped under the awning of a hotel lobby she was passing as it started to poor, and looked at the doorman, she smiled softly as she walked up to him and the tone of her voice grew softer almost mesmerising and siren like.

He opened the door as if she were a guest and had a room. Aria made her way through the lobby to wait out the storm. She felt on edge tho.. did this mean she had wondered close to him again.. or was it just her over reacting.. time would tell.

may i take your jacket mam ? " Aria nodded and handed her light leather jacket to the hotel staff and entered the dinning area of the hotel. " what would you like this evening miss? " Aria was asked as she found a seat near the window so she could observe the entire room as well as watch the rain come down outside.

" hot tea please, jasmine if you have it with suger" the server bowed " right away" then left. The sound of the rain as it hit the glass along with the echo of thunder. scared most of the guest who had left and gone to there rooms for the evening.

only perhaps 4 people remained. two men discussing buisnes one with short black hair green eyes and glass's. The other with a bit longer brown hair in need of a trim, with blue eyes. Both in suites.

The serving girl, and another young woman who sat by herself reading a book. The woman was in a summer dress of blue that was a bit short her hair about sholder length but styled nicely, she looked like she might be waiting for someone.

Anger, uncontrollable anger swelled up deep within him, like molten lava it crept up from the bottom of his gut to the dark blue orbs that set deep within their sockets. He hasn't felt this rage, or was it really rage? Alternatively, was it pain of his mistake of allowing himself to fall into that emotional state of affection for someone whom was above his station? Did he really think that so many, many years ago that he had a chance to seize this woman's love when she was already spoken for? His thoughts drifted back to those days when he first saw her in the castle garden and how he wanted so much to walk up to her and tell her how he felt. However, that day, that moment of time was when he found out that she loved another, that was the day he turned the love for her into despise of all that looked upon her, his jealousy would burn to his very soul. He would seek out and destroy all of those whom endeavored to be at her side for that was where he belonged.

The blood that covered his hands where not of many men but was one of great importance to her heart. It was the blood of those that held her love, the love that should have been his. It was he that loved her with all his heart, it was a love that was not based upon her beauty nor her family’s name, but pure love of whom she was deep down. Rom gripped the steering wheel as those emotions flared up deep within him once more. He fought himself to squelch the pain, but allowed the anger to build, just as he has done for the past century.

It was this anger that has brought him to this state of being to where he now or has been for the past decade trying to take her life. To end this never ending pain of love for her. His promise to himself that if he could not have her than no man shall. It was this promise, this love; the weakness that has drove him to wage this war with her or was it a war with him? He knew he could not stop loving this woman, so to end the torture the only course left was to end her life. His grip increased upon the steering wheel while the rage flared. His mind trying to over take the throb of pain that his heart was releasing into the mix. His mind continued to fuel the need for her death as a release of this unyielding pain of existence.

Rom entered the city just as the storm released its payload upon the helpless city. Instantly the city was now glimmering with reflective mixed colors, and smelled clean as the days stench washed away into the street gutters. Rom didn’t know where or even if forsure she was here, it was just a feeling that he had like the other few times they encountered each other. He also knew this method of driving around to find someone was a shot in the dark but it was more to settle his restlessness than anything else, like this little drive would take away this emotional state of being he was living in for decades now. He amused himself without the smile, the smirk or the sense of humor.

He just wanted to drive by the places that he knew she liked and would eventually visit if she wasn’t on the run. A way of life is hard to change and she was one that always had to stay with the times. Therefore, he would drive by the discos and other place that involved dancing. She enjoyed the thrill of mingling with others even though she hunted them from time to time, but that was her thrill, to lead the ones she decided to take and give them a pleasant time before their end. So that would involve places of gatherings, her being new to a city she wouldn’t have the friends to go to private parties so that made it down to the bars and pubs. Still a massive amount of areas she could be but regardless of the fact if he finds her this night or not, he had to hunt for her.

Upon the last encounter he found her staying at a hotel, that was where she got very lucky and escaped his first attempt to take her life, he didn’t think she would follow the same suit again so that would rule out hotels and motels, so that made it to abandoned homes or business buildings. The list of places was still rather long but that didn’t matter for time wasn’t a factor anymore these days, so as they say let the hunt begin.

He drove by several small cafés shooting a glance to each one when his gaze fell upon someone that looked like her. Instantly the car came to a stop and he was out of it. Walking toward the figure in heated strides and clenched fist. His hand shot out and grasped the figure by the shoulder and lifted her out of the seat. A scream from the figure instantly told him that this wasn’t she. “My apologies, I have taken you for someone else.” he put he slowly back down into the chair, reaching into his pocket he pulled out a bundle of cash and dropped it upon the table. He spoke as he turned away and walked back toward the car. Not caring what the victim would do next “I hope this will smooth out any hard feelings and resentment.” for he had a bigger problem to deal with. “Where are you Mi’love? Where are you?” he whispered into the night’s cooling air.

“I believe its time to take this hunt to the next level." He decided to walk the streets, show her picture around places and offer what most people wanted in this lifetime, money…

The sound of running water stopped as Aria turned off the shower and stepped out of it. Steam filled the small bathroom as she dryed herself with a towel she didnt bother wiping the fogged over mirror off there was no need.

Her hair was just blonde now the blue highlights having come from a colored styling gel that she had applied now washed free. She smelled and felt clean the shampoos and soaps she used scented of roses.

She had decided to take a room in the hours just before dawn. The woman with the book had been waiting on a lover whom she had left with a few hours after Aria had noticed her. The two men in business suits had left also. One approched her but she turned him away.

The curtins were heavly draped and drawn tightly closed so she had no worry there and had placed a do not disturb sign on the door locking it, before dropping the towel and climbing under the cool sheets.

She was tired and lonely. Even as she tryed to sleep she tossed and turned punching her pillow from time to time. Her thoughts turning back back to him to Romstrahd.. she remembered seeing him that first time in the gardens so long ago. " your constantly on my mind damn you. " she grumbled.

She had never met him before that time, he had been a guest or so she had thought to ether her father or one of the other nobles. It had also been her first time at court for her father had arranged her marrage to Terrian a knight and heair to one of there neighboring lands.

She had known Terrian a long time and had at the time thought she loved him.. she still did in a way, but now in a way she knew wasnt that of a lover, but of a long time friend or sisterly love. It had taken a few centuries of running and fighting with Rom to come to that understanding.

The moon had been beautiful that night, the scent of the many different flowers on the breeze stiring light tendrels of hair free. She had gone to the gardens for some air and to calm herself from all the excitment.

having caught some movement out of the corner of her eye she looked more closely and saw Rom there. Before she or he could speak, to apologise for intruding not having seen him until then. Terrian had found her guided her back inside to announce the engagement.

It wasnt long after that things changed drasticly. Terrian and many others had been killed, and she had been taken to be changed for all time. Running ever sense.

She had only ever had 4 lovers through out the centruies but she had never turned any of them. She had hunted for food and erased the memorie of her from the victems.

She had hoped for a long term something with those 4 sabastian having been the last, but Rom always found them before she could turn any of them and killed them. She was tired of being lonely..

" maybe i should let him kill me and be done with it" she wispered to herself. Wondering what he would do if she ever actually stopped running. In all honesty shed never given him a chance because shed been to afraid of what she had become and him as a result..

she wasnt scared anymore and now.. she didnt need anyone else to be her shield.. she could fight her own battles.

" ohh shes pretty i think i saw a girl like that but her hair was much shorter with blue highlights i remember cas i was thinking of doing my hair like that..she went up that direction when it started to rain i'm sorry i cant tell you anymore"

A teen age girl said to the man showing her a photo. " Yea i remember but we ducked back inside the theater when it started to rain. " Her brother piped in. " your girl friend huh? you two fight or somethin ?"

The sister elbowed her brother " hey not our buisness..and we need to get going moms already gonna be mad " The older brother rolled his eyes " yea yea lets go"

Romstrahd’s face was unemotional when the female spoke positive about the picture he showed her and her brother. He only nodded to the young man’s inquiry about them fighting; the less anyone knew what was going on between them the better things would be. Besides, the humans of this time have forgotten the old ways and the hunters have failed to revive themselves after the defeat at gilmorea pass. That in itself was another story of Rom’s history that he wished to forget, how she could so easily lead her beloved man to the resting place of one of the elders was beyond him, but she paid for that mistake when Rom killed her lover there alone with the rest of his vampire hunters.

He shook his head lightly to clear the thoughts of the past and refocused upon the present. He had proof now that she was here and even more than he anticipated was pointed in the direction she went. He turned to the girl that gave him the information. Handing over the promised money for the information, she gave. He smiled and nodded to them as he turned away and began the walk in the direction. His mind tried to shut out the past but being this close to her brought all those moments back to him, those times that she continued to hurt him and him wanting to kill her to easy this pain. Would it really help the pain go away after he killed her? He was lost in this entanglement of emotions. Now he understood when the elders spoke of not getting involved emotionally but keeping things simple like fucking for pleasure instead of love.

His steps were quick and fueled with a desire, a desire of which he couldn’t distinguish yet until he was in front of her. Was it desire to kill her or a desire to finally take what he wanted? Did he really want to kill the woman he has loved for so many years? The pain in his gut said yes but the pain in his chest said a completely different story. “Be done with this nonsense!” his inner voice barked from a place between the two emotions, his attempt to regain the composure that he has failed to retain when it came to the dealing with her. She, Aria, the one that has sent him down this spiral path of emotional conflict was now close at hand. This time it was going to be resolved.

He passed several buildings in which he stopped and stared at the building as if he was trying to detect her by some gifted power, but that wasn’t the case, he was just allowing himself a moment to read his gut feeling and when nothing came to him he moved on to the next one. His hopes of finding her were implied by the speed of his walking, his walk was as if life itself was hinged upon him finding her. He wanted so much to find her this night that he once again started to show the picture to all those that he passed on the sidewalk.

“Yes, she is here,” replied the front door attendants while shoving the hand full of cash into his pocket. I believe she took the top floor southwest penthouse. He knew this for when he saw how gorgeous she was he wanted to know her name so he asked his best bud, Charles, the host of the hotel, what her name was and what room she took. An event he was now happy that he took for he just got months worth of pay for just telling this man how to find her.

It was a short passage of time before Romstrahd was standing in front of the door to the woman that he has be in love with for centuries and not to mention the already known fact of wanting to kill her. Now, now, that he was this close to her and knowing the fact that she has not taken another one into her arms gave him this burning desire to express his feeling that he had for her so so many moons ago. The desire was more than he could handle as he reached for the doorknob.

The lock didn’t stand a chance to the inflated strength of Romstrahd as he turned the knob with such force that it popped out of place. A smile formed over his face while he pushed the door open and proceeded to walk into the private quarters of the woman he so desired. His dark blue orbs searched the area quickly before moving deeper into the penthouse. His ears perking up to listen just incase she wasn’t alone, then without due wait he moved down the corridor looking for..

All was clear so far as he reached the last closed door, he has already passed and checked the other three bedrooms and found no trace of her, and this was the last one. Slowly he pushed the door open. His gaze fell upon the bed where a figure was laying. He didn’t know if she was awake or not but that didn’t matter. He slowly moved toward her, his heart pounding in both of his ears, as he got closer to her. His mind not knowing how this was going to form but he knew how his heart wanted it to go.

Standing above her now … “Hello Aria, It has been a long time passing.” He whispered to her and waited for her to react or not react to him..

Aria awakened as the sound of the doors lock being broke reached her ears, her hearing was excellent however she was slow and still a bit lathargic given the early morning.

she had improved with time and could move about in a darkened room during the day but had allowed her self the rest...

There was only one being she knew of who would dare did he find her who had that kind of strength, and from his scent she knew it was him.. Rom. She heard his foot falls silent as they were a human never would have heard anything.

Finally pulling from that blasted heavy foggy state as he stood over her and spoke thanks to the adrenilen and her rapid heart rate she opened her eyes as he spoke.

Swiftly she moved off of the bed to the oposite side from him, not bothering with the sheet. She blushed momentairly knowing she was standing there nude, but the sheet would only have tripped her up.

she moved clear of the bed keeping her eyes on him the entire time. A small smile of confidence she didnt really feel touching her lips. " indeed it has been, some time. Come to kill me again have you? "

She asked taking up a defensive stance prepaired to fight she wasnt running this time. Tho she was now wishing she had fed before seeking rest. " i beleive it time we ended this dance dont you ? " Her words were more telling than she knew.

She wanted all this to stop as much as he did. The question was how did he wish to end it as far as she knew he had stopped wanting to claim her long ago, leaving only one option. True death.

Was that why shed been drawn here to this city.. becuse he was here and it was time to settle things... to end this game between them as he called it.

no time for these thoughts now.. she focused hands up feet apart watching closely for his actions she knew he was far superior in skill but she wasnt giving up entirely with out a fight. The one good thing about being what they were, other than speed, there other abilitys didnt work against each other.

Arias body was slender and hour glass shaped with an athletic tone to her mucles. Her breasts were not as large as many womens but nor were they small, an avrage medium size 36c. Her short hair allowed her facial features to be more clearly seen and defined truly appearing more fay like now then when it had been a long braid down her back.

The somewhat ironic and funny part was even if she wanted to run she couldnt for it was daylight outside the dawn had come there was a differance in the scent of the air and feel to the sun as it pushed back the dark... they or at least she was trapped.

She saw the anger and what she thought to be hate in his eyes as he looked at her. Blue eyes meeting blue. Dispite that she thought him handsome had always found him so but would never admit that given there history. So much lay between them.

Little did they know the hunters had returned however they were more fanatics than actual hunters. People who hunted vampires or thos who now days called themselves vampires the groupies and kids people who dressed up pretending escaping the manotiny of every day lives. kept old legends alive in some aspects.

fanatics in there own way were far more dangerous.. some liked to hunt so they could catch young women to have fun and torture them or men depending on the hunters prefrance others were less serious in that they only role played the parts, or more serious depending on who one run into.

There were a few small factions however of the more serious type who really practiced hunting true vampires that knew the diffrance between the real ones and the fakes however in this day and age it was not easy determining which was which without alot alot of recerch.

Rom straightened up when Aria leaped from the bed. His hand moved up and flipped the end of his coal colored ponytail back over his shoulder. His sapphire orbs meet with hers before slowly moving down to take in the rest of the woman he loved. Her curvy frame was even more beautiful than his imagination gave to her. To be respectful he brought his gaze back to her face and allowed their orbs to meet. He reached down, pulled the sheet up from the bed, and slung it to her. “My apologies for not knowing how you slept, a fact about you that I did not know until now,” His tone of voice was calm and surprisingly gentle. This came as a surprise to himself due to how he was raving to himself only moments ago. It hit him like a brick as he realized how he would respond once he was face to face with her. He still loved her for the rage was gone and now he was trying to be gentlemen to her.

A chuckle erupted from him as he slowly turned away from her. “All this time I have been trying to bring death to you, when the opportunity comes to be what do I do? I speak to you.” He shook his head in his own disbelief of his incompetence. He swallowed the words that he wanted to say to her, the words that his heart wanted to say to her many years ago. He fought back the desire that was building within him as the image of her body continued to be played by his mind.

“I believe this is the very first time I have encountered you without a human shield. Do you grow tired of the human company?” He felt the sting of his words in his own heart. He didn’t know how she would take it but it was only a fact finding question, not one to bring pain to her. He wanted to know if she was alone or if he should be prepared to fight another human.

He turned sharply to her, his face holding a stern look upon it. Him being in a black evening suit almost made him look like one of the Godfathers fancy henchmen. “Do you really know what this has been about?” He looked down from her for the look of her stirred the overwhelming desire burning deep within him. His mind began asking what was he doing, what was he wanting from her, and now that he has her to himself he wasn’t sure how to open up to her and tell her everything. His heart pounded against his chest, his voice lost its confidence in what he wanted. He stood there looking at her the way he did back in the garden so many years ago…

She was sure she looked as confused as she felt having reached up to catch the sheet as he threw it to her waiting only a moment to be sure it wasnt some sort of distraction before fully covering herself with it. " i wouldnt expect you to know how i slept, but i thank you for the jesture. "
This was very strange so odd she had never expected this.. talking.. them ?

His chuckle had her narrowing her eyes tempted to tell him to stop toying with her and get on with it, but then why should he. He had been chasing her so long and she was trapped in here so he could take as much time as he wanted.

His next words pulled her from her thoughts.. " if your not going to kill me, i m getting dressed." she turned to gather her clothing from where she had neatly folded it intending to go into the restroom to dress.

His statement and question stopped her, her hands fisted in the sheet she was holding up around her to keep them from shaking. Had she been with in striking distance she wasnt sure what she would have done.

As it was he was not that close.. " i have not been with another sense the last you killed.. nor do i intend to look anymore, when i hunt it is only for sustinance. " She looked at him then not caring if he beleived a word she said or not.

" i was never looking for a sheild.. i ran from you because i was afraid.. you still scare me, but i will not run any longer. What ever fate has in store even death i will face it, but not with out a fight."

The only scents in this room were hers and his there was no other here and she knew he would know that from not only his hightened senses but because he had activly searched before locating her.

She walked away then scooping up her cloths and entered the bathroom slaming the door she didnt lock it knowing that would be too much of a challange. What was going on she was very much at a loss she slid down the door her back to it and sat there for a moment her clothing at her feet.

Thoughts of the past intruding momentarily however the present over ridding them for the time being.

Rom was so intense, and she admitedly would have died along with the rest of her family and house hold that night if he hadnt taken and turned her. Why did she fear him so.. was it his intensity..

she squirmed a bit thinking that part of him more an attraction now then it had been so long ago.. Attraction??? ohhh no.. no no.. not. she waved her hands in the air for a moment attempting to some how erase the thought.

Getting up she pulled on her matching purple under garments, black leggings, and spiggetti strap top, before putting on the grey scoop necked silky blouse. Her feet were still bare, but she didnt mind because she liked the soft feel of the carpet in the main rooms.

Exiting the bathroom she located him right away. she knew nether of them needed the light to see clearly. She ran a hand through her hair a nervous habit she had. " Shall we go to the seating area ? "

She remembered he had asked her another question before shed gone into the bathroom but she had been to angry and upset to remember what it was he had asked. She looked around the room but wasnt really seeing it shifting from foot to foot.

She had grown up alot in many ways sense he had first met her, but in others she was still the same. She proceeded him into the other room not wanting to be in the bedroom. Not that a bed was required but still.

" im going to be honest here.. your confusing the hell out of me " she said turning to face him once in the living room or sitting area, not reolizing how close he was to her until she did.

A narrowed brow formed upon Rom’s face upon seeing the anger swells up in Aria’s frame. The intense clutching that her fingers were doing to the sheet told him that he struck a nerve. He didn’t really blame her for the anger that burned within her for if they would exchange sides and she was killing his loves, he would have already killed her, but he knew there were mitigating circumstances that would be against her if she attacked him.

A brow rose as she spat with fueled anger about him killing her loved ones and now she was just going on hunts for substance. He swallowed hard in an attempt not to lose his anger and inform her that she was the coz of all this. If she would have only acknowledged his presence instead of looking through him as if he didn’t exist, she surely she would have seen how he feels about her, who could you not see the love emitting from him. One he hasn’t attacked, instead he proceeded to talk with her.

He watched as she grabbed her clothes and proceeded into the restroom. Like any man he wanted to follow her and continue this discussion, but decided not too for he wanted to keep his composure and remain the gentlemen he knew he could be. He just had to forget the past and concentrate upon the future. He still wasn’t sure if there was a future of for them, but he was going to give it once last shot and if it fails then he will leave her alone.

He looked up from his thoughts when she exited the bathroom, Her attire was less appealing then her being nude but in time maybe he will have her that way again. He diverted his gaze from her form to her eyes when she exited and suggest that they proceed to the sitting area, he noticed the nervous habit of hers occurring, there was something she was hiding. He eyed her closer as if trying to read her mind, but she only broke that stare and moved past him to the sitting area.

When she turned to face him, they were almost in each other’s arms. He could smell the nervous scent from her chest and indulged himself in moving closer to her and taking another inhale of the scent. Without saying a word to her, he stepped back from her so that he could regain his composure. Her spoken words reached his ear forcing him to take a mental step back, for she wasn’t the only one that was confused.

“Confusing, yes I believe what is occurring between us is confusing, but it wasn’t that way many a year ago. That night in the gardens I know you saw me and I also seen the way you looked at me, then pranced off with you human lover as if the feelings were not there.” His tone slightly riddled with the anger he tried to keep buried.

Rom took a deep breath before he raised his orbs upward to meet with hers before speaking. “Then you continued to ignore the feelings that were obvious to anyone. Yet, you would not even speak with me about those feelings.” Rom than fell silent and stopped talking to her and held a look as if he just realized something that he never had before. His head lowered but not in time to hide the face of confusion ….

Aria stood there looking up at him some of her tension easing a bit as he stepped back to give them both space.

putting her hands behind her back a moment to keep from touching him, as he had in hailed her scent, she automaticly inhailed his as well closing her eyes breifly as she schooled her features keeping them blank.

It was true she had seen him in the garden that night, but she hadnt known him. Hadnt been introduced.

In those times it was not acceptable and she had already been engaged. Terrian had found her sweeping her away before she had even thought to ask his name.

Those times were not like this one, many things had changed sense then. Even if she had been apposed to the marrage with Terrian she would have been forced to marry him anyway women in those days were chattle and had no say.

It was only later she reolized she and Terrian would not have suited for long.. " your right in part.. tho my not knowing you nor having ever met you before that night in the gardens only frees me some. You felt an instant attrction. i at the time had not i had thought myself already in love altho i saw something in you even for that breif instant i couldnt name. i was too nieeve at then to know any different. "

she paused walking over to stand infront of the unlit fireplace, her arms crossed hands gently rubbing up and down as if she were cold yet not. They had gone inside she remembered thinking about him wondering who he was.

Where he had come from and why he was there. Then her attention had turned back to the announcement of the engagement and her family's delight.

Romstrahd had been introduced but not directly to her for she had always been in ether her father or Terrians company, so had little chance to speak with him directly.

She had listened as they spoke but answered only when spoken to, she had liked that he had included her in the conversations. Always seeing him in the evenings she had wanted to learn more about him out of curiosity.

she had never married Terrian tho, nor had she been his lover as apparently Rom thought.. she knew why he thought that tho.. now that she looked back on it.

Terrian must have noticed how Romstrahd looked at her.. Her curious questions about him.. Terrians anoyance over thos questions. Terrian had set the sceen as it were.. she could see that now.

it was the next day that the attack on the keep had taken place. She often wondered how and why of all those he could have taken and saved Rom had saved her.

Terrian had left her alone to go and join the battle telling her to stay above stairs she still didnt remember who of her fathers enemys had attacked..

enemy soldjers had made there way above stairs and had been killing or taking what they wanted. she had fought back and tryed to run only to be cut down, and left for dead in the hall.

She didnt remember much else aside from waking in Roms arms terrifyed. of all that had happened and what he had done what she now was... it had all been so overwhelming...

"your right i didnt talk and dont talk much about how i feel about anything. Beleive me those first few years after i ran.. were hard as he'll trying to fight the hunger.. Ramsy.."

she smiled breifly remembering the scot shed met who shed scared the hell out of but who had helped her to stop being so scared.. he had been the first Rom had killed that shed thought of turning. She hadnt reolized how lonlely it was on her own until then.. now she noticed it constantly.

" Ramsey had been a great help to me in helping me be less afraid of myself, and your right i had some feeling for you in the begining. " She turned to look at him to see if he had moved sometimes when he wanted to he could fool her hearing.

Did she still feel that kin ship that connection and draw to him? could she see him with out the fear from the past clouding her vision?..see him as the male he is. He was elegent as always and when not trying to kill her, apparently quite gentalmanly. ... what am i thinking ..

the pull was still there and that didnt scare her as it had in the begining because she was alot older and had more control..

could it have been herself shed been running from as much as him.. she looked down and away from him again at that thought. " i owe you an apollogie.. in my nieevity and fear i .. didnt give you a chance but just ran.. i never ment to hurt you nor anyone else..hind sight they say is 20/20.."

She looked at him again a half smile breifly touching her lips as she laughed a bit at herself for a fleeting moment before it vanished. Her hands down at her sides it was her fault as much as his that thos she had thought to turn had been killed.

she hadnt sought them out as shields they had been indivituals who had helped her grow and understand the world around her who she had come to care for who helped her forget the empty feeling. A feeling she now reolized Rom must have had as well.

Rom allowed his eyes to follow Aria, turning his head and body slightly so that he was still facing her. She stood in front of an unlit fireplace, his mind instantly tossed up an image of them sitting upon a sofa staring into a lit fireplace. Instantly he shook his head to jumble up the image and get him back to the here and now. Her statement what was made before her small venture across the room, was the very thing that hit him like a brick. They were never introduced and even looks along with body language was interpreted with a fifty - fifty chance of being misinterpreted. He felt like a fool, but the fact still remained that she was with another one and the only way that he had a chance with her back in those days was to eliminate the competition.

He did moved toward her while she stared and rubbed her arms with her hands. He knew she wasn’t cold but still clung onto some of the human habits. He wanted to wrap his arms around her and pull her tight to him, to slowly pull her hair back so that her neck was exposed for his to softly kiss and tenderly nibble upon her nape. Gritting his teeth he once again shook his head and broke his gaze upon her. His gaze now fixated upon the wall to her right.

When she spoke of Ramsey, he instantly pictured the man, than pulled the image from his mind of how the man met his fate. Rom didn’t regret killing the men that stepped in his way of getting to her. What he regretted was the fact that it pushed Aria away and made her run. That was where the anger was the most intense, the only path he seen was that if he could not have her then no one will. Now, now that he is looking upon her and the desire to hold her was pounding in his chest. He could no way in hell harm her now, something that he knew deep down that he could never do back then either. Maybe all this male ego flare up was just an act to hide the fact that maybe he wished he was the one that would be killed by her..

“I do not wish to discuss the past anymore. You have showed my the errors of my ways and even if I was wrong in doing what I did, it was out of a uncontrollable love that I held for you. Then the jealousy of watching you with others was more than I could stand. It pushed me to the borderline of insanity.” He took a few steps toward her. “I think what we need to discuss is where do we go from here. Do we continue this battling, which I believe we both grow tired of. Do we just turn away from each other with a understanding that we have had a traumatized history and it would best to leave it in the past. Or …” He looked to her with that look that she saw the first time their gaze came together…

She watched him warily as he spoke and took a step closer but didnt move not yet he didnt appear threatining at the moment. Nor did he sound angry. rather instead he sounded reasonable. She had begun seeing things from his point of view as listining to him now he was apparently seeing things from hers.

Again she was asking herself if they could do this if she could see him as he is rather than as he was. He was offering her an out to leave her alone to turn away from her and let her be. The thought to her utter suprise caused her to feel pain rather than hope as she had once thought it might.

If he turned away and left... she looked down, wiggling her toes in the carpet as she thought and bit her bottom lip. Then they both would truly be alone wondering endlessly with nothing.

" I do not know.. but your right..i do not wish to continue as we have. We can not change what is past.. it will not be an easy road. It is alot to over come for both of us." She met his gaze and stopped wiggling her toes. The look in his eyes stole her breath for a moment and caused her to lose her train of thought.

Shed seen that look in others it was how couples.. the ones that had lasted through out there lives with one another had looked.. it took her a moment to gather her wits, she blinked and shook her head raising her hands up making a sort of push away jesture as she stepped back bumping into the unlit fire place.

She cursed under her breath and recovered herself stepping away from it lowering her hands reolizing how foolish she must look. " i cannot say what the future will hold.. but.. perhaps if we start again as we should have so long ago.."

She looked thoughtful as she continued. " We need no one to introduce us in this age and time... we can do so ourselves. " Stepping forward she bowed politely then offered her hand after rising from the bow. " Aria Glade Pendragon.."

she hoped that in taking time to get to know him.. they could mend the bridges they had broken together.

The situation that lay before the two of them was confusing as hell to Rom, but he wasn’t the only one suffering from this state of mind. For Aria, the moments of hesitations, the jittery movement of her body and the more obvious was the forgetfulness of ones location in a room. This mental fact made Rom smile with a small inner chuckle.

Not wanting to offend her he simple turned away from her and acted as if he hadn’t noticed the intense moment that she was having nor her clumsiness of the moment. He was no different that she, his mind was racing in a million directions with no idea what the next step was nor if that step should be taken. He feared that even with the saying the past is the past, when it comes to losing loved ones as she has, it’s hard to forgive the one whom took their lives and just simply move on. She was correct that this was going to be a hard path to walk, and it was a path that he himself wasn’t sure if they should even try.

When she pulled herself together and offered to start anew, Rom lowered his head. The look on his face changed from that strong love to one of uncertainty. He allowed his eyes to focus upon her hand for a few moments then traveled up and gazed into her eyes. She was the most beautiful women he has or ever will cross paths with. He wanted so much to do what she suggested about letting them get to know each other, but was it that simple? No, nothing is that simple. This made him somewhat suspicious of her, was she trying to make him lower his guard so that she could get the first surprised attack at him.

He waited for a very long few minutes before taking her hand and rising to his lips. Bowing slightly to her and kissing her hand. “I am Count Romstrahd VonZarivich of the Endoria dynasty.” he gave his royal title the first time he has ever allowed anyone to know that he was a Count.

He raised up and released her hand. “It is my pleasure in meeting you Aria Glade Pendragon.” he whispered with another slightly bow of his head. He looked at her face, her eyes and was mesmerized by all that she was. He understood now why all those around her was willing to die for her, for even now he would be willing to die for her….

Aria noticed the suspicious look in his eyes. She could not blame him for it. Had they not talked he would have been right to be suspicious, in a way it was an honor that he considered her event the slightest of threat.

She blushed as he kissed her hand, such as they had just done had not been practiced in over 100 years outside of a theater. It was a curtiousy lost long ago that she was pleased he still preformed. Had she been in a dress she would have curtsed.

She felt like shed just.. come home.. she lowered her hand as he released it. Her blush gone.. " now that.. we have a truce .. what shall we do?.. i cant go hunt until night.." Well she could but she didnt like to hunt where she rested and doing something like roused too much suspision.

She felt silly and out of place most definatly not confident at the moment. They could gain sustianance from feeding off one another but she was so no where near going that route with him.

What did they do now what should they talk of.. nether of them drank or ate anything the humans did unless it was for show, tho she did sometimes drink hot tea simply for the warmth of the cup in her hands and the memories it brought with it.

Did he have something similar he enjoyed? Did he like moves? She did.. she remembered the first time she had gone to a moving picture the best had been when they had come out in color.. seeing a sunrise and sunset again after so long with out had been breath taking..

Now of corse there was TV and all sorts of things.. She liked to read, and draw and write as well.
she wondered to the kitchen with out thinking and automaticly started preping to make some hot tea.

When she reolized what she was doing she stopped looking back at him. " Apologies.. do you like tea or would you prefer to leave human habits aside and simply talk? "

Gods she was nervous. looking at the clock she could see it was going on 6 am. They had a long way to go before night. Question was would she go back with him or would he allow her to reamin apart but in the same city until they grew closer.

She wouldnt run from him again tho the thought was a tempting one and came to her mostly out of reflex. No she wouldnt run.

She'd argue, yell kick up a fuss maybe. The image that came to mind of her ending up over his sholder carried off like a sack of potatos because she knew she wouldnt stand a chance.

Was some what daunting and funny. a small smile a real smile touched her lips before she mentally shook the thought aside. It had caused other feelings to surface as well ones she refused to accept at the moment.

Aria’s reaction to Romstrahd’s old traditional ways of being introduced to someone new was a spark of hope to him. It showed that there just might be a possibility of there being a them. His inner voice spoke up about not having false hope, for at the moment it appears that all has a chance but once they part she will have the time to think about all of this and come to a decision upon which path she wishes to walk down. It wasn’t only her that needed to step away from her and allow the natural thinking process to begin.

He looked up and into her eyes when she began to speak of what comes next. That was his question as well and he had no real answers. Yes, they could go their own ways, but just in that few seconds of thought brought the pain quickly back. He had to have her in his life, he didn’t have to be her lover, but like it or not he would take the offer of a friendship just so that she did remain in his life. His mind’s voice chuckled to that statement, ‘Yeah right whom are you trying to fool.’

“What do you do? We live the life that we want. You not no longer have to run, I no longer have to chase you. The knowledge of my affection is obvious to you know. Now if you wish to embrace my affection we move on with life and live in the moment. If you wish not to embrace my affection, than I have to accept that and as it was on the other hand it’s the same on this one. We move on with the way of life we wish.” He looked away from her for a moment and ran that thought through and to his surprise the pain was controllable.

“Aria, I do yearn to hold you in my arms. To spent the nights overlooking the city that we claim to be ours, to walk along your side and have the knowledge that you belong to me not by force but because you wish it to be, however, I have decided to turn the leaf of the past over and out of my life. I know wait for your answer for you have much more to surcome to by the deeds I have done. So the time is yours to find you way.” He turned away from her and took a few steps toward the door before coming to a stop upon remembering her other question. “I do enjoy herbal grey with a bit of mint added.” he stopped and wondered if she knew, but if she did she wouldn’t have asked about the human habits. He decided to tell her. “Aria, I’m a pure blood. I don’t know the all pleasantries that a human can indulge in, yes I have seen them do many things and I can even replica the actions that they perform, but what they truly feel when they indulge in these things I don’t know until I experiment with them as for I know I like Herbal grey tea.” He turned and looked at her, “Maybe we can do some of these things together. Maybe that will help us get to know each other and solve our what do we do now question.” His brow rose as that even appealed to him. “But for now, let us depart company and think about everything. If you wish to see me tonight call me.” He placed a card down upon the end table. “If you wish to move on please let me know that as well with a simple phone call.” Without another word he departed her penthouse….

She ran forward thinking to stop his going. She knew little of his abilities virus her own. She stopped short of actually touching him. "Wait."... she lowered her hand. Looking at him a bit bewildered. "You.. you'll be alright in the sun ? "

What she knew she'd learned on her own on the run she hadn't been taught, book's and her own experience was all she had. "Never mind.. of course you.. thank you for the card. I'll call."

She stood in place after he left for awhile, well aware of the empty space. Just being in the same room had changed much even if they did have a ways to go. Earl grey with mint.. she smiled.

Did she want more than a friend ship with him?... she couldn't deny the pull she felt in that regard, but nor would she simply jump into his arms. A sigh escaped a difficult road indeed.

After running a hand through her hair again she finished making her tea. Sitting in one of the chairs. She could smell the cleaner scent of the air the storm of that night was over. In more way then one.

Other scents reached her as well as sounds. Maids talking and cleaning. Guests coming and going. She held her cup in both hands breathing in its scent to block out the others. Her feet tucked up in the chair as she sipped it.

The image Rome had created in her mind when he'd talked of them overlooking the city together settled in her mind. He was offering her. Her dream.. and she knew now. His also..

Rising she rinsed her cup in the sink, then went to the bedroom. Stripping down. She retrieved the sheet from the bathroom and climbed into bed. The entirety of the morning replying in her mind.

Rom" she wispered.. before drifting off..

Romstrahd stopped at the door upon hearing her calling out to him. Turning slowly to face her, his blue orbs meeting with hers. What he hoped to hear failed to be spoken by her lips, but what was asked of him wasn't the reason she called out to him. He only smiled when she answered her own question. He nodded his understanding and resumed his departure.

Rom stopped at the doorway upon the closure of the door. He wanted to go back in and take her into his arms and show her how much he cared for her, but it was too soon, he had to let her come to him when and if she wanted. He had to be patient and understanding to her moments of her actions, for there will be moments when she will flare up with the past for what he did and if she doesn't flare up he will have to make her for the pain has to come out before she can truly begin to heal.

When Romstrahd reached the main floor, he walked up to the registration desk. His mind formulating a plan of action. He wanted to stay close to her just incase she needed him quickly, he chuckled to himself at this lame excuse the fact was he just wanted to be close to her. "Yes, I would like to have a penthouse next to P1." He spoke to the young woman behind the desk. He smiled upon receiving key.

On his way back up to the penthouse suite level he wondered if this was the right move. He wondered how she would react when she found out that he was in the next penthouse to her. It didn't matter for he would only tell her the truth that he wanted to remain close to her and that he would check out if that was too much for her to handle at the moment.

Walking past her door, he paused a moment , turned and faced the door and fought himself terribly in resisting the wanting of knocking. Sighing he moved on to his room and entered. He made a few calls and had some of his things brought over to make the place feel as if it was his home. Taking a look at his phone before moving to the bedroom and taking his place upon the bed. His mind thinking of her as he drifted off to sleep.

" You sure about this? Connor's gonna have our heads if were wrong" A tall well muscled fellow with sandy colored short hair and brown eyes said as he looked at his friend. He was dressed in jeans, a dark blue t-shirt that fit snugly showing his form to advantage and sneakers.

" I'm sure i have been looking at old portraits and photos in the archives sense i was 5.. shes here. Very few of them had them done. Shes not one you would forget even if only a portrait " The other replied also dressed in a similar style save he wore a wide brimed brown leather hat on his head with a black t-shirt. His hair was black and his eyes grey.

" so.. shouldnt we tell Conner then.? " The first asked. The second smiled nodding and they both continued on down the sidewalk around the corner to the vehical. " well keep an eye on her for a time just incase i'm wrong could be a decendent but.. yea i'm sure. "

Aria awakened at around sunset streatching. The sheet slowly slipping from her as she did so. Sitting up she bit her bottom lip, and drew her knees up to her chest. She should call? she had promised she would weather it was to meet him or not.

Which would it be Aria decide she scolded herself.. feeling as tho she were being a coward if she didnt meet with him she got up, and gathered her pack from where she had stored it. She pulled out some clean clothing to dress in.

She showered as the hot water pored over her warming her otherwise cool skin she closed her eyes it felt so good. " what do you do? you live the life you want.." That's what he had said.." you no longer having to run..Me i no longer have to chace you.."

she opened her eyes thinking of things he said to her as she rinsed the soap and shampoo from her. It made sense most of what he said.. to not have to run anymore.. to not be alone any more ether of them. "The knowledge of my affection is obvious to you know" Shutting off the shower she stepped out reaching for a towel to dry off.

Once dry she began to dress. Putting on a matching grey set of undies. A white spagetti strap top. Form fitting jeans belted at the waist, with a free flowing dark brown cloth vest over top.

she applied little make up as she did not really need it, just some lip gloss really was all, and that to help keep herself from being washed out too badly while wearing white. She left off the colored hair gel this time and used clear to tame it a bit.

She hadn't bothered with shoes as of yet as she padded bare foot out into the main room after straightening up. Using the phone in her room she called down to the front desk. " yes this is the guest in P1.. i will be going out this evening and would like to have the room cleaned in my absance if you please.... ... ... thank you very much"

Hanging up Aria found the card where it had been left and picked it up, her hand shook a moment but she steadied herself." Damn.. nervous much.. " she grumbled. What should they do.. she needed to hunt that was for sure.. should she go and then meet with him? or go after meeting with him? did he have something in mind?

"Aria i long to hold you in my arms.. maybe we can discover some of these things together" His words and voice played back in her head causing her to blush.. and shake her head at the same time. She opened her eyes not reolizing she had closed them.

she got her cell out of her leather jackets pocket and dialed his number. Hunting after she thought.. and waited for him to answer. With out thinking she started to speak formaly, then corrected herself. "M'lord.. i mean Rom.. its Aria. " There was silence for a heart beat or two." i wish to be in your company this evening. If you've no other plans."

Piercing blue orbs locked upon the ceiling of the penthouse bedroom once the pale eyelids unseal from their slumbered position. A deep inhale, exhale took place immediately after the initial waking occurred within Romstrahd. His mind instantly went to thinking of her and wondering if she was awake from her slumber yet and the most important hope was has she called.

‘Restraint’ Rom’s inner voice spoke up, pulling Rom’s thoughts away from her for a moment as if to listen to what it had to say. He had to take this slow and not expect her too instantly due a complete turnabout from the way she has been living for the past hundred years, nor to change how she views or feelings for him. The regret for his past deeds begin to seep into the equation once more even though he has already dwelled upon this fact several times already in the past day’s time. Still it is an issue that has not reared its head up and taken a bite out of either of them, but it will come, and when it did, he just wanted to be prepared so that he does not flare up when she does.

Pulling himself out of the bed, he moved balcony doors and opened them. The sun was past its harmful time and he always enjoyed looking out over his realm from his perch. He did not like this city; it was less vigorous than the atmosphere of NYC, his true home, in which he would hope that she too would return with him to that environment, for it offered much better pray for the hunt, even though the hunters were far and few, it was much harder to track them in a larger city then what it would be here.

He sighed as he realized that he was getting ahead of the game and was beginning to expect or plan things for them that might not even come to be, and allowing this, getting ahead of the moment, expectations would and could end with unwanted emotional reactions, in which he informed her that would not happen, it all comes down to the double edge blade that one wrong move is all it will take.

Returning back into his Suite, Romstrahd noticed his phone blinking, indicating that he had missed a call. He took a deep breath and stared at the phone for several moments before walking over to it. His blue orbs intense stare was as if he was trying to melt the phone with his vision.

Taking a deep breath he picked it up and listened to the voice mail. His lips formed a smile and a heavy brick was taken off his shoulders. He pushed the button to return the call. “Hello Aria, “ he spoke to the answering service, “I would enjoy your company as well. Shall I pick you up at eight?” He wanted to give her time and himself time to get the nervous twitch out of the way and accept the fact that the decision was for them to try and walk along the same path together. “I will see you at eight, Please be causal for it is already enough tension without worrying about what to wear. The more causal the better.” He wanted to make this as comfortable as possible…

Arias phone rang and she jumped walking over to where it lay on the counter she dint quite reach it before it stopped ringing. She stood there a moment before picking it up.

She had her boots on now. Her jacket laying across the back of one of the chairs. News and weather reports playing lowly on the TV behind her.

Swiping the screen she went to her messages and listned. Looking at the clock she saw that it was 7pm. So he lived an hour or less away.

She thought. Her mind atomaticly turning to possable exits and places to run given that short amount of time.

Stop it Aria... she told herself.. her hand gipped the phone tightly. Quickly she set it down so she wouldn't break it. Looking down at her clothing she assessed what she had on... to her this was casual.

She didn't have anything formal with her. She maybe had 4 sets of clothing with her at present. Traveling lightly had been a life saver in past.

Your a traitor Aria.. meeting him giving in soo soon with out even a fight.. what of.. Ramsey, Logan, Jonathan, and Sabstian. .. do there deaths count for nothing.. meaningless now..

Tears pooled in her eyes and she slammed a fist down on the counter to. Damn it... she wasn't a traitor she knew that.. and yet... in part it did feel that way.

Straighting up she walked over to shut off the tv. It was supposed to be cold out. It was the fall after all. She brushed the tears that had gathered aside. Moving g to the window she drew back the curtins to see the city below.

It had a calming effect at 7:30 she left the room caring her jacket taking the elivator down to await Romstrahd. The lobby as well as the dinning area were busy at this time of evening along with the bar.

The many personal scents as well as calogns aftershave perfumes and so forth were a bit much but nothing unusual. She found an empty seat in the lobby to wait.

Casually she watched those coming and going. Spotting two men who seemed to be watching her she looked directly at them so they knew she noticed.

One nudged the other and they approached. "Hi.. sorry for stairing.. but. Are you with anyone? Would you like to join us? "

"Thank you for your offer but.. I am waiting for someone " she replied to the question. " You could join us till the one your waiting for arrives. "

She looked like a combination of tempted and anoyed. Had she decided to hunt first and had more time she might have taken the offer. As it was she didn't have time before he would arrive.

Rom she pictured wasn't the type who would be late.

Upon completing the call to Aria, Romstrahd made his way down to the underground parking of the hotel where he parked his car. Within moments Rom was filtering his way through a few suit cases pulling out a black pair of jeans and a silky white short sleeve button up shirt. ‘This will do for a casual attire evening’ he stated to himself unaware of the shadow that was moving toward him between the vehicles.

Closing the trunk, his gaze fell upon the shadow that was now standing in front of him. He stepped back with hands prepared to either attack or defend depending upon the actions of the figure that remained in It’s position. “Now is that a way to treat a friend my dear Rom?” the light toned voice floated across the distance between them.

“Victoria,” Rom responded with less flare, his gaze still locked upon her with a burning mistrust and suspicion. It has been a long time since Rom’s orbs has fallen upon this foul creature of the midnight hours. The last meeting between these two was half a decade ago, a time that Rom wished he could completely wash it away from the threads of time, an ability that was unfortunately beyond his powers.

“Is that all you can say to me Mi’love?” the burning sneer was coiled about those spoken words. She castled her grey colored orbs toward him. Her deep red hair slightly covered the left eye and some of the high cheekbone upon its way down to her shoulder.

The silence was not the only thing that was offered to her. A burning glare accompanied the silence as Rom allowed his eyes to move away from her and began to scan the garage area. He was looking for her sidekicks that was always close by. “So where are your lackey’s Vic?” he broke the silence after not finding them with his search.

“Oh, they are around Romey! You know that.” Her smirk upon her face was meant to agitate him, in which it did quite well, by the look she saw upon his face. The look of pure hatred came over his face which only pressed her to push more. “Come tell me Romey, have you finally found that bitch that has dominated you for over a century? OH that is a mute question now isn’t it? Romey!” a flare of anger filled her eyes for a moment.

Victoria didn’t wait for his response as she walked up and kissed his cheek, along with a whisper.. “Enjoy it while you can.” her words flared with the anger that was built up inside of her. “We shall me again, I promise you this.” She hissed as she slapped his face and walked back into the shadows and was gone as fast as she showed up.

Rom scanned the shadows furiously looking for her or her lackeys, heated anger fumed from his body with each unsuccessful glare into the multiple shadows of the garage. “Where are you bitch!” he muttered under his breath, his fingers clenching into fists. This was going to be a problem… Then it hit him … Aria was alone!

Rom called upon his power of speed and was walking into the lobby within seconds. His eyes heatedly darting everywhere in a hunt that was obvious to all nightwalkers if they could look at him this very moment. His heart pounded within his ears while the rage boiled his blood. His nostrils flared with every exhale.

His eyes fell upon Aria and to his surprise the anger didn’t fade, nor was the feelings for her able to break the boiling rage. He feared even getting closer to her in his present state of mind, but she had to be warned. With a quick step he moved over to her, his raging orbs locked onto hers. “I was wrong about not having to run anymore. You need to run now!” he barked at her while still searching the lobby floor…

Aria sensed something amiss as she told the two males once again thank you but no. Disapointed they walked off. She felt a sudden tension in the air and became alert looking around for a threat. She spotted Rom in the entry way striding tword's her.

The look in his eyes.. she stood instantly wondering what had happened had he changed his mind, was he going to kill her after all. The words that came from his lips as he reached her caused her eyes to widen.

They couldn't fight here and she sure as hell was not waiting for an explination. She didn't hesitate or ask questions. Simply moved around him and out of the hotel.

She kept a fast but human pace until she was out of sight across the parking lot from the hotel into the thicker foilage of some trees. To any observing them in the hotel it appeared that they had had perhaps a lovers spat.

The two males who had walked off after being told no watched the interaction closely and simply smiled at one another. They were not the only ones who had been watching Aria.

The two men from the night before were sitting at the bar. " i think your wrong.." the other answered. " well see " There conversation could have been about anything or anyone. However there attention was caught by the obviously dominant male who had aproched her.

Once clear she took off with a speed that was too fast for any human eyes to follow. There wasn't anything in the hotel she needed, clothing could always be replaced tho she had liked the jewlery shed had she would not cry over it or go back for it ether.

Wondering the streets for sevral hours she knew she needed to hunt badly. Now was not the time to be weak not if she were being hunted. Turning a corner where she could hear loud music and laughter she smelled whisky and other such substances.. drunks were not her ushual choice, but in a pinch..

She wondered up that street.. it didnt take long before she was spotted and hailed to join them.. She did so for two reasons.. Easy hunting and the scent of all the humans as well as the alcohol would mask her own. In a city this size there were bound to be many such party's on any given night.

She dumped her phone as well tossing it in a dumpster behind a fast food restruant. She didnt need it anyway. Looking up at the star filled sky what could be seen of it given the lights from the city. Was clear.

She closed her eyes leaning against a brick wall for a second or two. Waiting to see if she were being followed. Why " she whispered.

she breathed in the scents around her listining closely for anything non human, her dark blue eyes Glowing red then blending to a slightly glowing purple hue as the two colors combined she scanned the area.

" come out who ever you are i know your there" Straighting up away from the brick wall she waited. Time to fight no more running. This ally was perfect for fighting this late at night.. most humans were in bed or at work.

Rom closed his eyes and lowered his head. The look upon Aria’s face was one that he witnessed the very first time when he tried to kill her. He gritted his teeth angered that he had to do this to her, that once again his bullshit pushed her to the path of running. His clenched fist tightened while the images of Aria’s face haunted him. ‘WHY!’ his mental voice screamed out. This was his chance to be with her, to be with the one that he has loved since the very first day that life granted him the privilege of his gaze to fall upon her beauty. This was to be the day that his life had meaning and now this bitch from his past has taken that away.

“Hey, man! Are you stupid or what!” Some fool spoke to him from the right side of him. Rom opened his raging orbs to look upon two human males gawking at him and slightly shaking their heads. The other fool spoke up now, “Yeah, Don’t you know how to treat a lady man! You don’t scream at them and treat them like a bag of shit, you don’t own her, she is a human being, a independent being that decided to be with you not that she had to be. Your fucking stup….” The man’s sentence was halted when Romstrahd’s hand grasped him by the throat and with one hand rose him into the air.

Romstrahd didn’t give a shit about the gawking humans as he held this man in the air with one hand. His head turned toward the man with rage burning in his eyes. “I respect your honor for standing up for her, I respect your courage to stand up to me and defend her very nature with your life, however, I loathe your ability to determine whom is the one that is threatening her life. I’m the one that informed her of the danger she is in and the one whom had her to run for her safety. Do you still wish to defend her? Yes? Than look for a female that is my height, average body frame with shoulder length red hair and grey eyes. A knockout babe as you perverts say. That is the one whom is going to harm her not me.” Romstrahd wanted to send her cattle to slow her down so that he may find Aria before she does. He now wish he seen her lackeys so that he could send these two fools to slow them down but he could only work with what he has. “Do you understand this or should I just kill you now for getting in my way of protecting her?” His eyes flared, not caring if this would bring the hunters now that multiple humans are using their phones to record this event. “I…I…I understand and will look for this woman.” The man stuttered in fear…scurrying away from Rom when he was released.

Rom turned and headed out of the hotel, quickly heading for his car, for now he was once again hunting his love, not to kill her, but to save her life. He knew she was tired of running from him, from anyone or thing and will now stand and fight, and that was a mistake this time around. For even Romstrahd himself had a small chance in beating Victoria Cromwell, the Elder of Europe!

*********************

Victoria watched the so called heart throb of Romstrahd. She could see why Rom was taken in by her for Aria was one of beauty that was forsure, but she was beneath Romstrahd level of social status and didn’t deserve the feelings from a Count or even the attention of any pure breed. She was just one of the cattle that was allowed to survive the feeding.

“So you wish to fight. I like that, for hear I thought I had to chase you like Romstrahd did for the past century.” Vic spoke from the shadows before walking out of it. Her power rippled through her body and flared in her eyes. “Do you even know who Romstrahd VonZaravich really is?” she asked as she continued to approach Aria. Vic couldn’t help herself to allow her gaze to travel over the curves of Aria taking in the finer points of the woman’s frame. “Mmm, but I do see what he sees in you.” She allowed the sexy tone of her voice to do the talking for the moment. Her eyes traveling still up and down while moving closer to Aria, her tongue slightly licking over her lips..

Aria wasn't afraid she knew she should be but at this point in time she reolized it did not matter one way or the other if she lived, or died she was done with all of this. The power and energy coming from this woman was incredable.

Stronger than that of which Romstrahd. She had not met many of the pure bloods or many who like her had been turned ether. Tho's she had were insaine.

Meeting the red haired woman's gaze head on with her purple glowing orbs. Aria raised a hand a slight smile on her lips " That is quite close enough.. My apologies but to my knowlladge we have never met. You obviously know me and apparently Rom as well. "

She never took her gaze from the woman she was beautiful, or at least Aria thought so but it was a cold beauty and deadly. " you can tell your partners to come out now.." Aria had a couple of tallents weather all vampires had the same or not she did not know.

She could see auras and manipulate them a skill shed discovered by accident while fleeing from some hunters in the past, and over time as she'd transfered from fledgling to now had gained the abilty to gather energy to her hands to create fire.

She had read some where others could change shapes into animals and mist.. and other such things.. perhaps it was dependant on the individual.. She knew where the red haired womans minions were by the feel of there energy and auras. " what is it you want ? "

.....................

one of the two men at the bar spit his drink all over the place as his friend patted him on the back " still think im wrong? " The other just looked at him then both stood readying themselves to leave. Time to hunt.. now tho they had more than one target.
