Even though the US is more open than most countries when it comes to displaying it's dirty laundry (which is a good thing, BTW), it bears mentioning that the other 196 countries around the world have equally reprehensible issues.
The US has less than 5% of the world's population. Therefore, unless you are a xenophobic dumbass, it only makes sense that it has only 5% of the homophobes and haters in the world. In fact, IMO, it probably has less because the ones in the US get called on it more. The ones in the US make headlines BECAUSE they are the exception. That's not an excuse, that's just a fact.
Balance is a good thing, don't you think??? Globally hating the haters is fine with me, but xenophobically selecting a particular country to bash is pretty inane.
