Rota

Rota the Rogue formerly Rota the Rose knight of Freya goddess of love, passion and fire; was here in the strange kingdom doing what she was trained to do. She was here to combat evil. Evil that she knew dwelt within this realms ruins. Supposedly her order was for the eradication of all evil. She however knew her goddess offered purity to those who sought redemption. Those who did not accept redemption met her fiery blade. So for that conviction she was deemed a rogue knight. So now she was on her personal crusade to prove her peers wrong.

This is what lead her here. To the castle that would become a challenge. its depths had never been fully delved. The upper layers seemed to teem with a variety of different tribal monsters or a more dominate one monster seeking to push deeper down. Right now she came on rumors of the tribe she had helped here a tribe of goblin tribes called the Spiderteeth. Inside a vile creature with fangs, claws and teeth came in and displaced them.

So the fiery haired northern stood looking at the door to the home she had helped make for the good natured goblins. Here the six foot tall woman sought some sort of plan to talk to the creature to maybe reason with it, or if it was one of the more animal a like beings slay it and give it a proper burial!!!

Walking through the rolling foothills heading toward The Castle of the Realm was a lone human woman. The noon day sun had warmed the air … and she had the hood of her deep verdant green cape pulled back showing off her lovely brunette hair. As was the fashion in the kingdom these days, the bulk of her hair was pulled back into a ponytail but a few loose strands fell alongside her face, framing it. The rest of the hair cascaded down her back. Her exposed face was statuesque, a shapely nose and full red lips. If there was a flaw in her face it might have been her slightly thicker eye brows. She was in her late 20's and her skin was flawless. The tan color accented her steel blue eyes.

Those sparkling blue eyes revealed that today she was upset and troubled. Something was wrong and you could see it in her eyes. She stopped to pull a small drinking bag from her waist. She drank water from it and placed the water bag back on her thick belt.

Had someone been close enough they would have heard her talking to herself. “The town council are a bunch of idiots.” She said to herself and she began walking again.

"Who better to represent the town than you, one of our wisest citizens?" She said in her best imitation of the town’s judge. The town council had selected her to be the ambassador to the monster. It was a savage beast. Town council hope the monster would eat her and not bother them for month. The whole idea was a mistake. Once the creature tasted human flesh, it would probably want more.

What the town council did not know, was Iota was a witch, a powerful one. The monster may be the one that was really in trouble. Iota approached the stone ring wall that provided the first layer of defense for the castle. Behind this outer wall she could see the larger ornately decorated castle. It had been hand crafted 200 hundred years ago and was still a marvel to look at.

She walked around the wall she saw something she had not expected, a Paladin standing by the main gate. “Now what the hell is a paladin doing here?” Iota said to herself.

Rota looked up and saw another woman. She shifted her weight and position to rest her hand on her hip while her other rested on the pommel of her blade. With a cocked brow she spoke to the woman.

"Who goes there, and what business do you have with Ruins?" She asked. her voice firm but not overbearing. Rota, unlike her former colleagues sought diplomacy first before she drew her blade. If this woman came for her she would strike quickly with her flaming sword of justice. Until then she stood taking in the woman and noting her obvious attributes. Aside from that she hoped that she would not have to kill her either.

"Who goes there, and what business do you have with Ruins?" the female Paladin asked. Iota stopped and stood still. She recognized the knights armor and shield art. The paladin was a “Rose knight of Freya”. Iota had some history with that paladin order, and none of the history was good. So she already disliked this paladin.

“I might ask you those same questions!” Iota said back defiantly. However, she quickly smiled after her initial comment and nodded her head. “My name is Iota, I’m a healer from the Town of Mudpond. I have been sent to be an ambassador to the monster living in the old castle.” Iota explained.

“I have been told the creature is quite large. It has the body of a lion but there are three heads coming from its neck. That of a dragon, one of a goat and the last of a lion. It has wings and a tail as well.”

“Most likely the beast will attack anyone entering that castle.” Iota warned the female paladin.
