OOC: I thought I'd try my hand at running an open thread. Any storyline you wish to pursue with anyone you want is fine, just make sure they're cool with it (which really should go without saying).
Naturally, just have fun with it.
And yes, I did name this thread after The Gypsy Lounge by The Clarks. I'm from Pittsburgh, what can I tell ya.
The Coyotes are:
Logan Masters - Bass, lead vocals
Steve Byram - guitar
Jake Stillwater - drums
Katie McNeil - keyboards
... - trombone
... - trombone
... - trumpet
... - saxophone
IC:
"And I don't know the future
But I know my way"
Logan crooned out the last lyrics to the song and the music wound to a gentle close. He was the lead singer and bassist of The Coyotes, his band he had formed two years ago to play ska. The band got their name from two things. The first was Logan's voice which sounded much like their namesake. He could bark out break-neck fast lyrics or croon and howl more low-key ballads.
The other was his eclectic spirituality. Dabbling in a number of Pagan beliefs, Logan eventually came to embrace among other things American Indian totemism. His own totem animal was, what else, the coyote.
The band also had a guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, and a horn section of two trombones, trumpet, and saxophone. They played regularly at The Gypsy Lounge and were local favorites. Logan was one of the most recognizable regulars to the club. He stood out not only for his music, but his rugged looks and penchant for sleight of hand. Indeed, he was a man of many talents.
He took his bass over to the back room that the band used to store their gear and stowed it back in its case. He headed back out and took a seat at the bar. "Yo! Slide in ICB my way."
"ICB?" the bartender asked, slightly confused.
"I'm guessing you're new here. I never drink alcohol right after a show. I get dehydrated up on stage. ICB is my favorite brand of root beer."
The bartender nodded in understanding and fished out from the cooler the bottle he requested. He took a sip and turned around to survey the bar and the assembled patrons.
Naturally, just have fun with it.
