Dance Of Sparrows (Unification of Japan historical fiction)

They often called him ‘The Foreigner’, but two years later since his arrival here in Japan, Alexandre considered him anything but foreign, at least in culture and language. Not only had he adopted the lifestyle of the samurai after an incident that occurred immediately upon his arrival to the island nation, but he was quick to learning and fully understanding the Japanese language. He was truly not as fluent in the language as he was in the art of the samurai, which was best for in this culture one did not care as much about how one could speak. This was a land of warriors, it was embedded deep in their culture, and being from a noble home in Portugal it was not too hard to fall into the nature of war here. His English swords had been traded for his katana and wakizashi, which were his life blood. His wool clothes and fine linens had been traded for silks and armor, which he was expected to wear at all times, for it was customary and required of samurais to wear.

He had not been the first foreigner to be given the title of samurai, that he was sure for he had learned of others before him, but he had been noted among many as one of the best and most dangerous. As a ronin he was often sought by lords into their service, but thus far he had rejected all bids. They had become so interested in him that daughters of some of the more powerful lords had been offered, which was incredibly shocking to Alex, only because he knew the culture so well. To offer your daughter to a foreign samurai, or any foreigner for that matter, was incredibly dishonorable. However, it seemed as if that dishonor had been forgotten in these times of uncertainty and unending war. War had broken out all over the islands and foreign ships would rarely stop nowadays, not wanting to get caught in a war between different lords.

Now he found himself in the Owari province, not really the best place to find oneself at this moment at time, for though the war between the Oda family had ended and the province had unified, Nobunaga’s aspirations were certainly not done. There had been much talk about war with the Mino province and other provinces to control the capital city of Tokyo, but those right now were rumors. It seemed that they were more likely right than wrong though. So, Alex had no plan on remaining in the province long, he was simply heading south. Riding into the port town of Inowa on his steed he found it bustling with activity. Foreign ships were plentiful as well, but he noticed that there were military ships as well. Finding it fairly odd he rode down the street at a slow pace so citizens had time to get of his way. Every gallop of his horse was met with citizens getting out of the way and bowing in his direction. They knew that to not show respect to a samurai could cost them their head. Not that he’d ever do that though, but it was still customary.

As he grew closer Alex saw crate after crate being offloaded and loaded onto carts, which was quite odd as he had never seen anything like this before. He dare not dismount or even approach for they were not Portuguese and tension in Europe was high enough, they would never tell him what was in the crates. What he didn’t know about the crates was that they were muskets heading for the Oda castle, for Nobunaga’s conquests. They would be key to changing the tide in Japan and would lead in the future to huge victories of Nobunaga over his enemies. Alex wanted to see where thy were going and decided immediately to follow the shipments to whoever they were intended for. It wasn’t that puzzling though, any shipment that came into this port in Owari province went right to the lord of the province. Nobunaga was getting gifts.

However, it would be awhile till the shipment moved out, and until then there was a local teahouse he heard about that was calling him. Riding off down the streets of the port city Alex found it easily, the English name stuck out. Dismounting Alex tied up his horse and entered the teahouse, his two swords swaying at his side. As he entered he removed his helmet and was ushered to sit at the private area for samurai. Even among the foreigners they were treated like royalty. While sitting he was quickly brought a tea by a beautiful geisha…no wonder this ‘teahouse’ was so popular among the foreigners and samurai.

Oichi

She sat on the pillow. Watching from her window in the main room, she was able to see others coming and going freely. Her sigh was heavy and weighed as much on the wind. She longed for change, yet she was bound to tradition. She thought of the little teahouse down from where she now sat. Again, the sigh was to much for Oichi and she turned her face to the breeze.

Her hair was twisted in a series of intricate slips and pulls. It shone bright in the sun almost blue, black. Her kimono was elaborately designed with the water crane. Blues, browns, reds and yellows, woven through the silk to cover the several layers underneath. Her dark eyes could dance with delight or burn with anger. Yet, she was soft spoken as all women were. She was taught to serve, and be seen not heard. Growing up inside the palatial walls had given her right to priveledge and honor. She was royalty yet she lived a sheltered life inside the stone walls about the palace and gardens.

Oichi longed for the places outside the walls of the palace. She longed for adventure, happiness, love and the pursuit of those. She had heard tales long ago of the samurai and the loyalty everyone gave them. In her dreams, she dreamt of being rescued and whisked away by a powerful samurai who could make her one with him.

She was always brought to reality however, with sights around her. Her mind kept going back to the teahouse. She shook her head, standing, she resigned herself to that place and she would go there. If not for tea, for company or the journey there. She made her way down from her perch and into the main hall. Taking her parisole, she slipped on her shoes and prodded her way down the steps and into the bustle around her. Keeping her head bowed low, she neither met nor acknowledged anyone around her.

She would be in trouble if her father found out of her deception. She did not care and would relish the punishment for now she was in the streets with the people. The real people. Those who lived and died here, in the dirt and poverty. Things she knew nothing about but would soon learn.

Alex had been enjoying the tea far more than the company of the geisha who had been sent his way. They had obviously been sent by a few men who were present, surely who worked for some minor lord of the area or maybe even Nobunaga. He was sure it came from no one else though, no servants or samurai from any lord that Nobunaga opposed would dare show up in this province at this time. Sipping his tea with women by his side he dare not shoo them away for it would be seen as a sign of disrespect. Instead, he finished his tea quickly, thanked them for the hospitality, and then left the teahouse to track down the foreigners.

Walking down the streets of the port town Alex caught sight of the foreigners who were still packing, but seemed to be ready to move out on a road to the north. There was no doubt now, they were heading for Nobunaga. Many of Nobunaga's own samurai were present now, easily distinquishable due to their purple and blacks, a sign of Nobunaga. Keeping his distance Alex watched as they discussed certain aspects and argued at times, the language barrier and customs were hard to get around. However, what happened next was extremely odd. The foreign soldiers did not leave, they actually moved out with Nobunaga's samurai towards the castle. Foreign soldiers were going to march on Japanese land and meet with Nobunaga? Very odd.

Seeing a few of the foreign officers Alex was sure his suspicions were correct, they were not only supplying Nobunaga, but directly assisting as well. Mounting his steed Alex followed the caravan out of the port city, though kept to the other side of treelines and such to remain undetected, which wasn't the easiest thing to do with other samurai around. Thus, Alex moved further away, the noise of the large number of forces was easily to follow. The trek to the castle was only about five miles, why he chose to follow it that far he did not know. There was no danger to the caravan, but anyone heading south towards the port on this rode had better get as far off the path as possible. This caravan was surely very secretive for it was highly scandalous.

She was aware of the approaching noises and quickly sidestepped to get out of the way as the caravan passed her. Turning a quick glance, she saw the mounted rider in the shadows.

Her eyes quickly scanned his person. She was held by his prescence. He was samauri. Her own curiosity seemed to be fed by the caravan and quickly she thought of what to do. Risking being seen, she stepped into the street and was overcome by the largeness of the whole thing.

The simple task of turning her head to her right was a chore yet she managed. Her face seemed alite almost with the excitement of sneaking around. She met his gaze with one of her own exposing the hidden beauty of her smile. She said her apologies to the others and stepped again to the right almost within touching distance of the treeline. This time, she stood straight revealing herself to him.

She was not very tall. At a mere five foot five, she was petite. Her skin was porceline. Fine and creamy, silky to touch. She was prideful of her body as she touched it and lotioned it daily to keep the skin supple. She dropped the parisol to her shoulder allowing him a direct view of her face. Turning her head, she smiled at him.

The sight of the approaching woman with a parasol at her back was surely an odd one. She was walking alone, unaccompanied whatsoever from what he could tell, and she was surely not of peasant livings. Very odd. Especially that she would meet the caravan and not scurry out of the way. Considering the direction she had been coming from he figured her to be a wife of one of Lord Nobunaga's samurai or maybe even one of his concubines. The caravan mostly paid her no attention besides for the Nobunaga samurai who showed overwhelming respect towards her. That made it clear, she was attached to Nobunaga in some capacity.

Alex's eyes scanned her as much as her eyes were scanning him. Most odd that she was revealing herself fully to him, a samurai, who she could surely determine was not one of her father's. The perfection of her skin and beauty sent his heart beating ever so rapidly, and her smile nearly unsaddled him as a tree branch connected with his head. Holding onto the reins stiffly he prevented himself from falling, but surely was not quiet in it. Alex dare not look no more for it seemed to be having a negative effect and thus kept on target with the caravan as it grew closer and after awhile came to the gates of Nobunaga's castle.

As soon as it reached the castle a dispatched of horsed riders left and travelled down the path, heading to meet Oichi whose present outside of the castle had been discovered. They dare not touch her when they met her, but would surely ask for her return or travel with her.

Trying to find a better location to see all that was inside Alex dismounted his horse and scaled the nearest tree that was tall enough to see over the wall. Granted this wasn't the smartest thing to do, but he was known well enough and distinquishable enough to ward off any stray arrow. He might be discovered and taken hostage, but no worries of a death from afar. Hanging onto a limb he stood up and watched, no knowing that eyes were already on him. Nobunaga had been the first to notice him as he stood on his balcony, about to meet the caravan.

As for Oichi, the horsemen were closing the gap quickly. Surely she would be met by men she had met so many times before or even had grown up with.

She turned her head slowly all most as if she were not moving at all. She watched as he kept pace with the caravan and disappeared into the tree line. She smiled to herself once again dropping her head, and continued walking.

As she reached the teahouse, Oichi was aware of the riders approaching. Not glancing she stopped and waited. She knew from the pace that it was her father's horses. The men stopped abruptly, bounding down off the horses and spoke to her.

"Your brother is very disappointed in you Oichi. You have no regard for his authority. Please come back to the palace with us. It is as your father commands" he said. The man stood stock still allowing her to absorb these words.

As her brother commands!! How dare he, them, they to use those words to her. Her face grew red and she started to shake with anger. She spoke low, her tone of intense emotion.

"You dare not tell me to do as my brother commands do you understand? I walked out of those palace walls for the purpose of breathing free. Now you stand and demand I do as he says. HA! What is it you know of freedom? You have served even in the womb. You go, and I will go with you, but never demand I follow any command" she said. Her voice never waivered, she started back towards the palace. This time, her head held high, she refused to take the horse, she would walk.

Her own dignity would not be shattered by her brother's own desires to control and command. He had, for many years controled her life. From her education to those he found reputable to be in her company. As she made her way back, she searched out the tree line for the stranger.

She saw her brother on the balcony as she approached the palace walls. Her anger had not subsided but built inside her. The longer she held her tongue, the angrier she got. Pushing and shoving her way through the keep, she saw his eyes meet hers in apparent disappointment.

She took the steps fast as she made her way to the balcony. When she approached, she did not give him time to speak.

"You command me back within these walls brother? You send an unwilling servant to command me back? I am not 5 Nobunaga. You cannot treat me so. I wish to, to be free and able to walk within the village" she said as tears welled in her eyes. She was distracted by movement and turning her head, she saw him again.

Alex watched as crate after crate was offloaded from the caravans onto the ground, cherry blossoms filling the area with a beautiful spectacle. The pink leaves danced in the air and fell, appearing red when they gathered, much like the blood that would run when those weapons of war were used on the battlefield. Shaking his head he did not like this at all, the rumors were correct, Nobunaga was going to full out war and he was using all the advantages he could to win. The west had allied with probably the most powerful and dangerous man of the east.

Heads were about to roll, bodies of men, women, and children were about to fall, and fire and chaos was about to fully descend on Japan. It was the price of unification. Looking up to the balcony of the castle Alex saw the young woman upon the balcony with Nobunaga, who had turned and began to leave the place. She was crying, it was fairly obvious by her posture, but angry as well. Surely his wife or concubine. He was guessing wife though, a concubine who wanted to live did not act like that. Suddenly, he heard the hissing sound of an arrow and fell out of the tree, landing hard upon the ground. Well, there went his belief that they wouldn't use arrows.

As he landed, hard onto his left knee, Alex looked up to heard the whooshing sound of blades, which stopped just short of his face from all direction. Well, he was discovered. Being disarmed he was forcefully raised to his feet and marched inside the fortress, although away from the view of the foreign army who were present. Led into a side entrance he was led down the stairs into a most dark and foul smelling area, the dungeon of course. However, he was not tossed inside, instead he was led up another set of stairs into an elaborate room full of scrolls and fine draperies. Forced into a chair he was tied to it and then totally left alone as the samurai departed and locked the doors. Wonderful.

---

Meanwhile, Nobunaga left Oichi, without a word expressed to her as he left her upon the balcony alone. As she walked to the edge of the balcony she watched as he was met by his samurai, words were discussed, and then met with the foreigners who came to his castle. Much needed to be discussed between Nobunaga and the foreigners and there was much greetings, smiles, and favors passed. Nobunaga knew that they could only be trusted as long as he promised them wealth and the ability to trade with all of Japan when he became Emperor. They were much more enemies with common interests than friends.

"I suppose these are my tools of war from your masters?" As Nobunaga finished the question the crates were opened by command of the leading commander of the foreigners. Glad to see the numerous arms Nobunaga nodded with delight as one of the soldiers handed him a firearm. "These will ensure your victory Lord Nobunaga, and will ensure our partnership will last for many years. May you soon be Emperor and rule over all these lands. Our orders are to swiftly return to our ships and leave before our presence is known by any other daimyo of the island. May you use them wisely, we have taught some of your men in their use so they can train your army." With a nod between allies the foreigners turned and left the castle, allowing Nobunaga to test his new weapons with the help of those trained in their use.

His other guest would have to wait.

Oichi was mad. Her delicate features were hidden under the hatred she felt shown on her face. The man taken from the forrest was herded under the castle stairs. She knew where they were taking him and with Nobunaga being entertained by the others, she was quick to follow the samauri. They led him past the dungeons and through the stairwells to the tower entrance.

This room was sacred to Nobunaga as he spent many hours meditating and consulting his cards here. Oichi his out of sight until the samauri left. She slid quickly up to the door and looked inside. He was tied to the chair. She was able to see him fully, even though he was sitting. Her heart lept in her chest as she caught site of his face. Just then, he spoke. He had seen her. She knew that being caught here would result in a strick punishment from Nobunaga.

Again she heard the stranger speak to her, yet she only stood and did nothing. She was held by the fear of Nobunaga, yet her senses seemed to overwhelm her and her need to speak back, to reassure him was more than she could bear.

"Shhh! you must not speak for to be found would mean death to us both. You watched me today, the caravan also. You were in the tree line. What is your business here samauri? You are not Nobunaga samauri? Who are you stranger that you must sit upon a horse and hide in the trees?" she said. Her voice was softer now, more relaxed. It was smooth and even. It carried softly on the wind and could ensnare the senses.

Alex was actually quite relaxed as he sat there tied to the chair, not fearing for his life for he knew Nobunaga was not that stupid. The man was ambitious and needed the best samurai to fight along his side. Alex was one of those samurai, however, it was obvious his snooping was not very welcomed. Leaning against the back on the chair he threw his head back and looked at the ceiling, waiting for Nobunaga to meet with him. From outside the castle he heard the talking and noise of the foreigners who were in the castle area. Such large numbers could never be quiet.

As the door slid open Alex looked to it to see Nobunaga, but he was quite surprised to see it was surely not him. It was that woman he had seen on the way to the castle and had seen on the balcony. Nobunaga's wife, for sure, he had already determined there was no chance it was his concubine. Oh goodness, what was the name of that wife of his. Alex could not remember. Speaking up first she did not return his English and thus spoke for a second time in Japanese, however was only met with a shoosh and then her reply.

"I was curious to see what the foreigners were bringing to the castle for Lord Nobunaga. I am a mere ronin travelling the lands looking for a strong man to call my liege. Surely the caravan would have not let me follow if I would have made my presence known."

Her voice was so soft and sweet, and also had a sense of seriousness and fear in it as well. However, it did not seem she was too concerned about being discovered or being punished. "You better leave before you are discovered with me Lady Oda, alone in a closed room with a man who is all tied up." There was no smile, but all seriousness in his expression and voice. "If you are here concerned for my life do not fear, though I appreciate the concern, but Lord Nobunaga does not wish me ill. If he did that arrow that caused me to hurt my knee as I fell out of the tree would have hit its mark."

"Thank you for your concern, but you had better go now before discovered. Lord Nobunaga will likely not treat me as well if he knows his wife was meeting with me alone." Looking back up to the ceiling Alex could not find himself to look at this beautiful woman any longer. She was far too beautiful to allow his eyes to trace over her body any longer. The honor code he had taken becoming a samurai greatly forbid such delights upon a married woman...as did common sense.

She listened intently to him but could only shake her head. She laughed softly.

"You think I am lady Oda? You must have hurt your head in the fall and not just your knee samauri. I am no wife. I am sister to Nobunaga. Oichi" she said. She went to him now kneeling. She watched in fascination as his eyes turned from the ceiling to her own.

She saw a warrior there. Fierce and strong with conviction, stared back at her. She seemed enamoured of him. Almost as if he were casting a spell on her. She could not tear her eyes from his.

She noted the way his own clothing strained against the confines of his muscular stature. Oichi was aware that she had never been with another man in this close nature. She had been around the samauri and those that worked closely with her father and her family. But she had never been alone, and even with a stranger, the possibilities of being disgraced were much more prominent than anything else.
"Do not fear the wrath of Nobunaga, samauri. For my actions, there will be no punishment. If there were to be, it would not be he who dealt it to me. He does not intend to treat you fair. Whatever reason he has, you are secluded for a purpose. He must know something of your person" she said. Again, her voice sweet almost seductive.

Looking back at her Alex's eyes lit up for a moment before he hid his interest and surprise. She was the sister to Nobunaga? Oh, this might be even worse if she were to be found here with him. Who knew what Nobunaga intended for him, but surely to be discovered here, alone, with his sister would not be a good move for him. He already decided to not join Nobunaga now for his use of the foreigners weapons. "Oh, Lady Oichi, sister of Nobunaga." Alex noted how she was looking at him, it was a feeling he liked, but did not like as well.

Having her interested in him and him showing his interest in her was the worst possible thing he could do right now. However, he could not be rude and force her away, that may be even worse. So, he was stuck, which wasn't a surprise or grand conclusion considering he was tied to a chair in the first place. "Lady Oichi, he led me here in secret for he did not want the foreigners to see me here, being a foreigner myself. They do not enjoy the fact that I have chosen the life as a samurai and live among you. To them, I am a threat to their aspirations in your land. I appreciate your concern though."

Why did he have a feeling that Oichi was not going to believe what he told her no matter how true it was? Her proximity definately not a good sign and her seduction was not able to overcome as his loins were surely expanding due to a lust he could not control. Damnit, he knew he should have become a Buddhist, then he would have been able to control such things, but then again Nobunaga would have no hesitated to kill him as well. What predictaments he seemed to get himself into. "You better leave before they return, my fate is in the hand of forces above you, Nobunaga, and myself now."

From her kneeling point, Oichi knodded and stood slowly, never taking her eyes from his. She quickly surveyed the room to make sure there was nothing out of place. To be caught in such a place was to be shamed.

"You shall be safe here. Nobunaga needs you for something" she said and quietly made her way to the door. She turned to him once more, again, showing the softer side of her and dropped her head. She knodded once more and quickly scurried out of the room, locking the door behind her. The passage way out of the room was desserted and she gave a sigh of relief when she again entered the open rooms above.

She knew that Nobunaga had something planned, and she knew that it would also involve the entire family. The shipments were of no matter to her. Nobunaga would do as he saw fit for he was head of the family in a matter of words. Her thoughts kept returning to the man under the castle.

He was foreign. That was very evident for he was like no other samauri she had ever encountered. She stood looking out over the gardens where just hours earlier she had sat wondering of freedom. Now, she sat wondering of her own life. When Nobunaga came to her room, she was taken aback at his actions.

"You do not go below. You do not leave the palace. You do not sit in open windows little sister. You broke a vow by leaving unaccompanied today and placed me in a precarious position. As your guardian, you will do as I say" he said. He walked quickly to her and grabbed her shoulders holding her to him.

"You are not so old as I cannot have the cane taken to your pretty skin sister. Your careless disregard for others could have cost me a life, your own or mine. I will not tolerate your insolance" he said throwing her back.

She hit the floor with a thud and her head shook.

"You will remain locked inside this room until I come to release you. The samauri will bring you food and the peasant lady from the village will see to your other needs. The windows will remain closed and there will be no visitors" and with that, he left the rooms.

Quickly, the others came in to do as he asked covering her windows and locking them then sealing the door, the snap of the lock told her that she too would be a prisoner in her own home.

Alex finally smiled as she left for he could smell her scent as it remained in the room, however he realized that when his captures returned they would be able to smell that she had been here as well. That did not concern him right now for her smell was so enjoyable and strong that he now wished he had not been so rude to her before she had left. He had only been looking out for her as he knew she would not be treated well had she been discovered with him. As the door was unlocked and swung open he knew the thoughts of her would have to wait.

Two samurai entered before Lord Nobunaga entered behind them with a stern expression on his face, obviously something had upset him before he arrived here. "Lord Nobunaga I meant no.....," Alex had begun to say before he was quieted and his head sent to the side due to a backhand slap. Nobunaga immediately yelled at the samurai to backoff and for the other to untie Alex from the binding.

"I apologize for the rash behavior of my samurai and having you bound like this, we just needed your presence to go unknown to the foreigners," Nobunaga said as the bindings were totally removed from Alex's wrists. Now free from the binding he rubbed his wrists as the rope bindings had really dug into his skin. "Why were you spying on my castle anyways? I know you have been on my lands for a few days, but already making your way to my castle? Seems pretty bold of you, even for you, if all the stories are true."

Alex smiled as he continued to rub his wrists. "Well, I meant no dishonor, just curious to see the new toys that were being delivered. Oh, and all the stories you heard are true, every last one of them," he said with a laugh. Obviously not all the stories were true, and Alex knew it, for he was not ten feet tall and had never killed fifty bandits all by himself. "I'm afraid I was going to ask to join your ranks, but now with these new discoveries I could never do such a thing. Foreign weapons? Not very samurai-like Lord Nobunaga." The smile left his face as Nobunaga's face grew extremely red, but it wasn't all that much of a surprise to Alex. This time, the backhand slap he got from the same samurai was enjoyed by Nobunaga.

"You are really pushing my patience! Well surely you know if you were anyone but a foreigner you would be headless immediately, but you are smart, you know better, you know I can not kill you. But, I can not let you leave, not until my enemies know the surprise I have for them on the battlefield. Well, seems like she will not be alone for too long, she has already collaborated with you," Nobunaga said as he signalled to his samurai to lift him to his feet and told them where to throw him.

Being dragged violently throughout the castle grounds Alex was quite surprised that he wasn't being taken to the dungeon and quite glad as well. It meant he wasn't likely to be beaten or lose any fingers, toes, or hands and feet. Well, that was a good sign. Laughing between blows he would get to his side the whole trip ended with the slamming open of a door and his body being tossed with ease into the room, his body sliding across the floor. Turning over onto his back he heard the door close behind and coughed, laughed for a moment, before gritting his teeth in pain. However, his mood soon changed as his nose filled with the scent of Oichi.

"Well, Lady Oichi, we meet again. I told you he would not kill me. Don't think he likes me too much though," he said, followed by more laughs mixed with coughs of pain.

"You must not speak to me. If the voices carry, then Nobunaga will know. There must be no contact when the halls are full" she said. Whispering now. She did not turn to meet him. She stood back to him, head down.

She had been defeated this time. Nobunaga woud hold her here, keeping her inside at his will. But, tossing the man in with her was devious. It was wrong for her to be in such close quarters with any man that was not relation or royalty.

She was beyond subserviant, yet, it was her duty to serve. She could feel his eyes on her back as she stood in the small snatch of sunlight forcing its way throw the boarded windows.

"Nobunaga has plans for you as well as me. Yet his deviations hide nothing. He wants ruin. For me, for you. He lives on the dispair of others samauri" she said. Her voice still just a whisper. Shaking her head, she walked to the far corner and on the bamboo palate, she made preperations for her evening prayers. It was all she had that belonged to her now.

Certainly understanding her caution he did not speak as she requested, the last thing he wanted her to be was high strung as well. She was as calm as one could be in such a situation, the last thing he needed was a frantic woman stuck in a room with him. And thus he simply lied there for now looking at the ceiling as he shifted every now and then to get in a comfortable position, which surely wasn't the easiest thing for one to do. Pain spikes surged through him from time to time as the marks that would become bruises soon enough already changed color. What a choice this had been.

As she stood he looked over at her and watched as she chose to rise and walk to the corner of the room, as far away from him as possible. Well this was a change of events. "Oh yes, he may wish despair of us both, but we both do not need to fear death or harm, had that been the case we would have been thrown in the dungeon, not such quarters. We are to be well treated hostages. I truly did need a vacation," Alex said, witty, and in no fear of the situation he found himself in.

Sitting up finally Alex watched as Oichi was preparing herself for prayer and thus remained silent for now. Deciding to stand up and partake the surroundings he walked about slowly checking out the large room, much nicer than the dungeon indeed.
