Well seems we have a lil group of kids going about the Hampton Roads area causing problems for people. And today I be their latest victim. -smirks- Over the past week or so, there has been a pattern of malicious activities in the area, including spray painting houses/businesses, slashing tires, and painting cars. This morning I was ready to go to work when I noticed something didn't sound right, sure enough, the drivers side rear tire had a nice knife gouge in it. Police took down the information, but as the one officer told me, while they have thier suspicions, it could be a while before these kids are brought to justice.

Someone with nothing better to do should just sit up waiting for them to attack and then video tape it, or chase after them with a chainsaw ;)

Heh neighbors shed got broken into last week. Woulda been easier to get into our garage in all honesty, but I like to think the silhouette target with the chest blown out from 9mm rounds deterred em :D

We've got someone in our neighborhood breaking out car windows. Everyone thinks it's this one homeowner who is a little off and supposedly has a criminal record, but no one is sure. That'll be the next big home security device....a motion sensor for your yard that turns on the flood lights and is hooked to a camera that will get a decent image of whoever is out there (not like the crappy parking lot vids you can't make out when they're pointed right at the perp).

If you catch them in the act little will be done, and they may get a hug.

I recall a case I had. The kid was 14 and beat up his foster mother. The foster mom was a retired childrens therapist and sweet lady. She caught the kid trying to steal her purse, and he beat her up.

So he goes to court for his criminal arraignment. The judge gave him a big hug, appointed 5 lawyers to protect his civil rights, and raised holy hell with everyone, especially his school, for not doing enough for him.

And the hits just keep rolling. Had to replace the two front tires last year...and had it done at Sears automotive. -smirks- the rear tires were fine, and actually prolly coulda gotten me another 3K miles before replacement [today]. Anyways, turns out Sears put slightly larger tires on the front, and the shop just called me and, understandably, needed permission to put the larger tires on [They pulled it in and noticed the difference, cause they had pulled the number off the slashed tire]. Gonna cost me another $38

Makes me wish for the old days, a shotgun and rocksalt cured most kids of stupidity, and nobody got sued!

We used shotguns and rock salt on kids in Vietnam.

The kids were sent out to reposition our mines to explode at us rather than away from us.

Americans will not intentionally kill children, so we had a problem until someone suggested shotgun shells filled with rock salt pellets. They dont kill, they dont maim, but they sting like hell.

my best friends family kept having their house egged, this was after he (my best friend) had moved to nevada, but his family still lives in harford county, My friends father was getting ready to go all "hillbilly justice" (his own words) on the kids who were doing it. So my friends younger brother and I waited in the bushes outside their house with two practice haidong gum do swords, and when the kids showed up we jumped out of the bushes and started swinging at them, we couldn't hit them, because they were like 13 but we made sure to swing close enough to scare them. they bolted screaming, me and shawn just sat down on the lawn and started rolling with laughter. That house was never bothered again.

Several years ago there was a couple of kids going around on the weekends hitting houses, cars and anything else they could hit with paint filled balloons. They also did other vandalism such as tearing up mailboxes and plants. My parents place was hit twice. The police did increase patrols but were unable to catch the kids because the neighborhood was heavily wooded.

The one weekend I went over to my parents place, and did some work. I cranked up the water pressure from their pump and unreeled their hoses so the nozzle was right at the end of the driveway. I also set a lawn chair in the bushes along with a thremos of coffee and some sandwiches. By the time it was getting dark I was ready.

Sure enough about 0100 I could hear voices as the kids came down the street. I could hear them laughing and talking as well as the sounds of the balloons hitting their targets. I heard one then another mailbox getting ripped off their posts. I sat there quietly and picked up the two items beside the chair.

The first item was my video camera. I turned it on and shifted it to low light mode. Looking through the view finder I could clearly see the kids heading my way. (It wasn't that dark out. There was plenty of sky glow lighting up the area.) I had that in one hand and the hose in the other as I tapped the button to start recording.

I video taped them hitting the neighbors places with their little paint bombs. I even video taped them hitting my parents place as well as my car as it sat in the driveway. Then I video taped them getting hit with the water from the hose at full force and short range. Their screams were music to my ears. (That water comes from a deep well and is C-O-L-D!) They took off down the road as I sat there laughing.

I coiled up the hose and went back inside. After turning down the pressure from the pump I sacked out on the couch. The next morning my parents and I were sitting around watching the video and laughing when there was a knock on the door. On the other side of the door was a local cop. One of the kids had complained to his parents and they had then sworn out charges against me for Assault and Battery.

It went to court and I was cleared of wrong doing. (Although I was given a stern warning by the Judge.) Because of the video tape all of the kids were charged and convicted. Their punishment was to clean up and paint the houses they had hit with their paint bombs.

About ten years ago three older teenagers were causing problems in our town. The Police couldn't catch them but some of the locals did.

They were taken for a short boat ride and left on a sandbank about three miles offshore with the tide coming in. They were left there until the water was up to their chests.

They didn't cause any more trouble and their families left town within months. They had threatened kidnapping and assault charges against their abductors but were told that if charges were made then their next boat trip would be one way only...

The teenagers' mistake? They targeted the local drug dealer.
