A long time ago I was given a bracelet. It's made from eight strands of fairly thick silver wire. Unfortunately a couple of days ago one of my patients grabbed me by the wrist and included the bracelet in her grasp. She managed to break not one but two of the strands.

I took the bracelet to a local jeweler who told me they couldn't fix it. That didn't make me happy.

You see this bracelet was described to me as a Knights Band and is something that is handed down from generation to generation. It's basis is supposed to be in what used to be called Silesia. (Where my mothers family originaly came from.)

I have been wearing this bracelet from the time I turned 16.

Now I'm going to have to find the proper sized Silver Wire and make another. (The original will be saved and maybe one day I'll find someone who can fix it.)
