Hey i was just wondering if someone can help me with this problem. When i try to view some videos on my computer it freezes. I have used AVG virus scan, nothing, i have used spybot s&d, and ad-aware and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Yeah i did that and no such luck, and also it freezes on a certain game i play also...

It could be a function of how much ram you have.

How much do you have right now?

I doubt that its ram b/c it JUST started out of nowhere...but there is good news, that thing where my computer would shut down by itself stopped. Oh and i have 768 mb of ram.

it sounds like a virus to me. Maybe you could completely remove the program, then download and install it again?

remove the movie player?? I would but this also freezes when i play games. All this stuff has to happen to my computer :'(

Hmmmmm perhaps not enough free memory to support this? Try rebooting...or it could be the video card or how much RAM is available...this sounds more like the problem than being overloaded in spyware. Sounds a lot like when I had Diablo II...ran it on an old computer...would freeze up every now and then just because the video graphics were too intense for it.

Remind me to read all the posts first...yea it ain't your RAM...how old is the video card? How much RAM on it does the card have?

Lol well theres some bad news and some good news and some more good news....the good news is that i found out that it was the fan to the mother board was clogged up and the ram memory boards were put in wrong so it was only processing 125 and not the 700, so i got it fixed...the bad news is that after i got it fixed, it couldnt recongnize my ethernet card so i can go online, so i had the person look at it again and it started to freeze up and he said that there is probably something wrong with the harddrive...so it is mostly dead...the last good news is that i got a new computer!!! whoo hoo..it kicks ass...New Dell with a gig of ram and a good harddrive and processor. And even more good news is that where my dad works gives a discount on all dell computer's, so i got some money off but i found out too late, but they giving me either a rebate or a gift card :D

LOL well thats one hell of a situation! Hmmmm lets see if you really felt like ressurecting that computer...am sure you could just swap out that hard drive...cost like lil over $100 for a very nicely sized hard drive...but in the end perhaps you're better off with a new computer...either way enjoy them!

yeah ill probably sell the old computer for like 200-300....cuz the dude that was working on it said it was a pretty good computer and could probably get sold for 400

hmmm not a bad deal...if the tower is still worth that much is kinda surprising...but hey ya never know.

well its the big tower....and one word....Alienware...even though i think they suck, people pay a fortune just for the tower, but it also comes with a cd-rw, 700 and something mb of ram, and 1.2 ghz processor. and a geforce vid card...so its not that bad overall.

Ahhhhh Alienware...nice looking towers...usually awesome gaming systems...so yea I can see where you'll be able to get your moneys worth outta selling it
