This isn't a baby-hating post, promise.

Still twenty years old, and two of the young men that I have had sex with now have babies of their own.

I still just can't get over how weird that is.


On the bright side, neither of them are deadbeat dads. Both of them went into the military and are supporting their families. One is married for sure, the other I lost contact with a while back.

I was just on facebook and I saw the one of them taking santa-pictures with his kid, and it gave me confused feelings.

I wonder if this is mostly an age thing? Or some weird evo-psyche fertility thing?

I treat myself. That is, I tell my MD what to prescribe, and what to leave the fuck alone. They cycle like a Gay Mood Ring that cant find the right color when you do that.

I'm actually often surprised by how old the professional sports teamers are. I have them out before 30 in my mind.

What I can't isolate is where the point was that I was the youngest doing this and that and when I suddenly was a senior member.

I think that used to be pretty common, but now a lot of athletes play at least into their late 30s. Some of course do play to 40 and a little beyond, but they are pretty rare.

This was my most jarring moment. Two years ago my wife and I went to a concert. It was an adult alternative artist, not the type to appeal to the teen audience. Still, we were shocked when we looked around the room and saw only one other couple that appeared close to our age. The rest of the audience was all 10-20 years younger. That was an eye opener.

And on a different note, we had to stop going to lifestyle clubs after some of our lifestyle friends mentioned that they quit due to fear of running into their kids or kids' friends. How embarrassing would that be?

Wanna really feel your age?

I was dealing with being in my mid-50s until I ran into a 22 year old Marine at the navy base one night that was from my hometown. We started comparing notes and when I mentioned that I had graduated with a guy with the same last (unusual) name. I rattled off the first name assuming it was his dad or an uncle.

This kid totally destroyed what youth was already hanging by a thread anyway, when he pops off with: "Oh. So you went to high school with my grandfather?"
