On the 3rd of April 1948 President Truman signed the Marshall Plan which allocated more than $5 billion dollars in aid for 16 European countries.

Thank you america for:

Coca Cola
Big Mac
Levi Jeans
Crappy TV shows
the mid-Atlantic accent
the Weather

and...

President Bush...

:D

What's wrong? Miss the days where you got to inflict all of your countries worst features onto others? Shame your criminal little empire got bitch slapped by the twentieth century.

You can have W. and we will even toss in a Clinton of your choice!

Listen and learn my friend...

Coronation Street and

EastEnders are not America.

Unless they've moved Manchester to Florida and the whole of the East End of London to Phoenix overnight....

Naaah! We would have noticed....

Your question should be, how many TV shows in America are British? We stole shows like "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," "Weakest Link," "Junkyard Wars," "Battle Bots," "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," etc. from England. I don't think the shows are all that fantastic, but they certainly are a big deal over here, which means the majority of Americans appreciate it greatly.

And British comedies rule, no matter what other kinds of shows are produced there. You can't beat British humor, especially when placed next to America's need for spelled-out, slapstick, low-brow sense of humor. Face it, we're Neanderthals compared to the British when it comes to comedy.

Scruffy, I knew we'd disagree about entertainment the moment I saw your av. ;)

ppman is the equivalent of a bad rash that you can't reach.

A constant irritant that just won't let up for a second.

How the hell should I know I don't watch America shows on TV. I prefer to watch them on cable Gold where they only display the best.

But if I come across a listing I'll post it for you.

Oh yeah, Junkyard Wars, Battlebots, Whose Line. A real crem de la creme of what's on TV right now.

Compare that to the Simpsons, Friends, The Sopranos and....Is this even a contest?

Hey, if you want to miss out on the most important artist of the 90's then that's your business.

How is the new Robert Goulet album, anyway?

Jeez, with what the Americans have given in terms of movies, music and Tv you should be thanking your lucky stars. Unless you really are that big a fan of S Club 7.
