What she/he meant was, people die, they're just fictional characters, and it's refreshing that not everyone lives forever and ever.

I only managed to read the first 3 books. I'm not a fan of his overall style. There's just too....much.

It's a lot.

When I first tried to watch the series, that put me off.

It seemed overly complex.

But, over time, and with cajoling from friends, I started it over. Glad I did, because it is the best drama I've seen on television in a long time.

I don't know if I'd like the books.

But, yes, one thing that brings it to life is that anyone can die at any time.
