I don't envy your friend's position, those things are hard to break free of, but I'm glad that she has you to talk to. There's not much anyone can do for her until she's ready to walk away. That's when all the friendships will become more helpful to her.![]()
Glad to hear of your own ability to have moved on and find someone truly committed to you.
It has taken her awhile to realize it, she still holds on to the "good times" she has, that "it isn't always bad", but she is coming around to committing herself to getting out. Only now he has turned her family against her even, so she doesn't have a place to go. She's in college, whatever little she earns from her job he takes as part of their monthly costs. It is heart wrenching to see a woman who was so full of life and energy, who was so giving and caring turn so in to herself, become so despondent, so listless...
It is an important lesson, that not all Daddies or Doms are truly that - it can be a facade to suck unsuspecting women into their webs of abuse!
