Glad to hear of your own ability to have moved on and find someone truly committed to you.

It has taken her awhile to realize it, she still holds on to the "good times" she has, that "it isn't always bad", but she is coming around to committing herself to getting out. Only now he has turned her family against her even, so she doesn't have a place to go. She's in college, whatever little she earns from her job he takes as part of their monthly costs. It is heart wrenching to see a woman who was so full of life and energy, who was so giving and caring turn so in to herself, become so despondent, so listless...

It is an important lesson, that not all Daddies or Doms are truly that - it can be a facade to suck unsuspecting women into their webs of abuse!

Sometimes I wonder if I just wasn't supposed to say something, you know?

Anywho... I was talking about how I've noticed recently that a lot of the Daddies around these parts share an inherent ability/desire/character trait of protecting. Maybe it's more than protecting. I'm still searching for a better way to explain it, but my brain is tired.

It seems that they aren't trying to Dom anyone, but they are the ones who check on you to make sure you're okay. They just pop in and let you know that they're there if you need to talk, not expecting anything in return.

I want to just say that I appreciate them.

Do the two not go together??? at least for Daddy Doms - isn't that what makes them different from a "normal" D/s relationship?

Of course, but my big point was the way that some of the Daddies come alongside us, even when they don't have to - they aren't responsible for us. Does that make sense?

Some of us protect and nurture first, then Dom a bit ;)
And I think any Daddy should be more than happy and willing to be a gentleman and treat any lady with kindness and respect, especially if she is in need.

Complete and total sense! It seems that is one indicator of a true Daddy, who is able to show care and concern for others, without it being defined by lust or control. I used to love when my baby girl brought over her friends, I loved listening to them, mentoring them, doting on them all, and it made my connection and desire for my baby girl that much stronger. I'm still in touch with one, who just needs someone to listen to now and then.
