Eclairs and profiteroles sound good Bfg, maybe custard squares, NY cheesecake slices, oh and serving platters, we should not have to look too far for them.

There will definitely be platters, I'm a fan of them. Meats, cheeses, breads, and deserts. All the sides. I think we have wine coming, too.

This is coming along nicely.

Do you want a Lancashire Hotpot or a massive meat and 'tatie pie served with mushy peas?

Both sound delicious. I vote for Lancashire Hotpot this week and Meat and tatie pie with mushy peas next week!

Being at the back end of the year, the lamb won't be as fresh as it would be in March or April but if I simmer it overnight on a low heat most of the tough fibres should break down. I don't think even Grandma's big pot will hold enough for all of us, so I'll go and see if the lady at the witches' souvenir shop at Newchurch-in-Pendle will lend me her cauldron. I'll give it a good wash to get all the frogs' legs and bats' wings out.

:p

No.
But that’s okay.
It’s alright to not be okay.
I keep telling myself that.
Losing a Daddy is what stuffies, rain, and sparkly nail polish is for, right?

How are you, bfg?

I'm sorry you're hurting, Moochie. :rose:

It's definitely okay to not be okay! You get to not be okay until you feel okay, within reason. There might come a time when your friends will encourage you to do things like go out with them even though you aren't totally okay, and you should consider it.

Until then, stuffies, rain, and sparkly nail polish is perfect... whatever it takes to help you.

As far as me...I'm doing good, just having a busy few weeks here and trying not to be overwhelmed by it.

We could always save the lamb until spring. I usually have some when we celebrate Greek Easter. It's the only time my mom will let me make some for my dad.

I'm a bit skeptical of the cauldron. I doubt we'd be able to get out the frog's legs and bat's wings, and...well, this is 2020 and I'm not about to go tempting fate. :D

OK, the pie is usually beef so I'll do one of those. As for the size of the pot.... I simply didn't want anyone going hungry and the invited guests are starting to swell, so I thought a bigger one would satisfy more.

;)

I forgot to mention that in my post!
Plus, there's other things to have, as well.
Platters full.

What will you be wearing? :D

Full dinner jacket and dickie bow?

No, we're not that sort of crowd - are we?

I'll probably be in smart casuals with fairly loose trousers. If there's a fancy dress theme, I'll do my best to find something that blends in. There once was a time I'd have come in uniform and used my handcuffs and truncheon on the naughtiest girl in the room.

We're kind of casual around here. It's more relaxing. Whatever someone is comfortable in.

I'll probably be in the outfit that I need to make...I haven't forgotten Wild Honey!!

It's good that you're leaving the handcuffs and truncheon at home because -- how would you know the naughtiest girl? :D

Oh, shit. That must have been whilst I was away. Difficult to do anything meaningful for you Moochie, but you know you're in our hearts.

Big eHug.
