I read a Loving Wives story a while ago where a married couple gets divorced after the wife cheats and the dad thinks he'd get custody of his daughter but when the Judge awards custody to the ex-wife, he goes into a deep depression and leaves the state. Years later, the daughter finds the dad and tries to connect and it's revealed that he was raised in an abusive household where his mother cheated on his father and he never wanted to experience that again, and when his wife, her mother, cheated, his world came crashing around him and he believed he could salvage it by being there for his daughter but she denied him because someone manipulated her into picking the mom and not the dad.
I can't remember what the story was called but I really liked reading it and would like to read it again if it's still on here.
